I'm kind of thinking that his statement is related to trying to manage his stress through alcohol and/or weed use... I would then assume that he feels his bad decisions lately were made due to overuse of the substances that he's using to try and reduce stress.

Maybe, that might make sense but maybe the guy has some problems in his life. If he's back after two games then he is full of shit but if he takes some time to get his life in order maybe he was using substances to handle the kind of pressure he must be under.

I watched every Knick game on MSG that year with my pops while my mom was working at a university in Delaware. i was 9 and absolutely in love with that team and got me really close to my father because it was just the two of us.

i also coincidently just moved to NYC from OR a few months ago.

i might have to resume my knick fandom this year because following Portland so closely has genuinely taken a mental toll on me. sit back and let us tank while i still have a team to root for for wins.

I was a Houston guy through and through. Used to try to mimic his jumper haha. Spree was always too crazy.

Yeah that is a real possibility. When a guy like that says "Ahh Fuck it! Lets go to the bar" it can become a bad situation pretty quick. It certainly did a number of times when I was 23. I didn't have millions in the bank either.

I'm an older guy. I just don't get the constant jaded outlook by mots people these days? I did way worse than that in my day. He's a young star in the league. This is slap on the wrist worthy IMO.
He had a gun. I had lots of guns. He was drinking at a club. I drank at lots of clubs. He's letting off some steam. I let off plenty of steam. It ended up on video. THERE WAS NEVER VIDEO when i was his age thank the lord all-DOG-ly.
I don't know this kid. Maybe he's a real ass and doesn't deserve any respect? Maybe he's really just a decent guy that had a bad couple weeks? Who am i to judge really?

So because I went to clubs and partied when I was younger I'm now Hitler? Hoping that was just a joke. I'm going to take it as such.
Here's my point.
If I was put under the microscope millennial's are under this day and age it would have been a tough thing for me to get through. At least I understand that.
I'm going to hold my judgement and hope he meant what he said and will be better in the future.
