I'm an older guy. I just don't get the constant jaded outlook by mots people these days? I did way worse than that in my day. He's a young star in the league. This is slap on the wrist worthy IMO.
He had a gun. I had lots of guns. He was drinking at a club. I drank at lots of clubs. He's letting off some steam. I let off plenty of steam. It ended up on video. THERE WAS NEVER VIDEO when i was his age thank the lord all-DOG-ly.
I don't know this kid. Maybe he's a real ass and doesn't deserve any respect? Maybe he's really just a decent guy that had a bad couple weeks? Who am i to judge really?

I don’t think it’s surprising that Nike and all his brand partners expect him to not flash guns around on IG Live. He made a bargain when he signed those contracts that he’s an ambassador for those brands. That means conducting himself in a certain way. Don’t want the shoe deal? Cool. There are a ton of other players that I’m sure would jump at the chance to have their own shoe.

So because I went to clubs and partied when I was younger I'm now Hitler? Hoping that was just a joke. I'm going to take it as such.
Here's my point.
If I was put under the microscope millennial's are under this day and age it would have been a tough thing for me to get through. At least I understand that.
I'm going to hold my judgement and hope he meant what he said and will be better in the future.

You weren’t a public figure, someone that kids buy jerseys of and look up to. No one was expecting you to act a certain way.

I can agree with you here. If I'm spending Millions on a player to represent my brand yes then i can make those judgmental decisions.
I was just saying I'm not willing to judge him about that at this point. Now If the situations continue then obviously there is more to it.

I was nothing to compare to a player like Ja Morant but I was enough of one that if things had gotten out it would have cost me plenty and there were a lot of people it would have hurt.
Yes plenty of people expected me to act a certain way.

Exponential difference here, but ok.

I get your point and it's a fair stance, I just hope he stops digging. If it is a drug or alcohol issue, he better hope his bottom doesn't drop out as he's on a playoff run. Gotta question his judgement and character. I'll give him credit if he does turn things around, but right now I wouldn't want him anywhere near an organization I'm a fan of.

So, you're saying it's blind luck that things didn't turn out really bad for you and those around you, and yet you don't see reason to judge others for behaving similarly?

Look at the Superstars in the Mavs vs Suns game. Damn, so jealous that Dame don’t have any help.

If the Suns and Mavs play again in the playoffs it’s going to be fun to watch.

I’m saying what I said.
It was a mistake and he needs to be better but I’m unwilling to judge him at this point.

Looks like the Lakers know they can’t afford to lose another game right now. They’re about in the same boat as the Blazers without the pick.

Yeah they assembled their team at the deadline to win now. No playoffs for them would be comical. But I still hope we end up with a worse record

Draymond Green gets away with camping out in the key. Refs just ignore it. I’ve watched it multiple times this game. We’re talking like 6 second stints in the paint.

sorry. Don't really agree because of the nature of the "mistake"

he's a 23 year old man flashing a gun in public...twice now apparently, and once in a threatening manner. I'm a gun owner....a responsible one. I don't so easily forgive shithead behavior with a gun

so yeah...I'm definitely going to judge him for this

Looks like Utah has finally initiated the tank. They’ve started to sit Jordan Clarkson and Lauri Markkanen recently.

You punched a teenager in the face 12 times? Also- I don’t see how you doing the same things somehow makes it right.

that's true....the most effective tank in NBA history resulted in 5 championships

Yeah isn't that what led to the rule change? If the worst record guaranteed #1 pick this year the tanking would have obviously started much earlier.

"After the 1984 coin flip, which was won by the Houston Rockets, the NBA introduced the lottery system to counter the accusations that the Rockets and several other teams were deliberately losing their regular season games in order to secure the worst record and consequently the chance to obtain the first pick."

"In 1990, the NBA changed the format of the lottery to give the team with the worst record the best chance of landing the first pick. The worst non-playoff team that season would have 11 chances, out of 66, to obtain the first pick. The second worst would have 10 chances, and so on. Similarly to the previous system, the weighted lottery system was also used only to determine the first three picks, while the rest of the teams selected in reverse order of their win–loss records."

Duncan was drafted in 1997.
