yaaa, following college to pros is a different planet. My days of armchair scouting were over after the O'bannon bros completely flopped.

I used to follow college hoops religiously…..from being a kid until I started a family. Just not enough time. I’ll watch if there are big time stars, but other than my Ducks or University of San Francisco games, it’s all NBA for me.

I saw a bunch of Aztecs games, and thought damn Kawhi is going to be a beast in the NBA. Then the ink sniffers pushed him back 10 spots in the draft to #15.... whoops

For some reason that made me curious, decided to compare him on that site to Anfernee Simons. Payton's crafted DefensivePM was in the 91st percentile, Simons in the low one percentile.

And it shows you how important those stats are when EVERY GM in the league would take Ant over Pritchard.

strange comp... one guy is a starter with All-Star potential, the other is a bonafide bench scrub.

That’s the thing he never will be good at defense. Sooner you acknowledge that the more you’ll enjoy watching him play I promise. Same goes for Scoot being a knockdown outside shooter….. these guys keep waiting for that to happen, it’s gonna be a long lonesome road.
