I believe they were missing their leading scorer and rebounder? Did you know that before you replied? Do you believe missing your leading scorer and rebounder has an impact on the game?

I believe that’s a big reason why LeBron put up the stats he did.

* Thibodeau is sticking to form and grinding down his starters:

**********************************************************

Memphis lost Bane and Smart to minor injuries, but Jaylen Wells stepped into the starting role and has played well. Averaging 11 points (20 last night). Wells is a 6'7 rookie taken in the 2nd round at #39. Blazers traded away #34 (Kolek) for 3 future 2nd's in 2027, 2029, 2030

**********************************************************

OKC looks like they got 2 of the 3 best players from the 2022 draft in Holmgren and Jalen Williams. Williams was a giant steal at #12. He's averaging 20-7-5 on good efficiency. And, he's turning into an excellent defender. Williams and Holmgren are both headed for max rookie extensions in 2026. Will be interesting to see how OKC handles that. especially with SGA getting a new contract in 2027

************************************************************

remember when so many ere saying that Simons was better than Herro:

I'm inclined to think they are about even but Herro sure has been better early this season. Likely just a hot streak

********************************************************************

Norm Powell is going bonkers so far this season. He doesn't do much in the way of rebounding or assists but he's averaging 25 points while posting a .681 TS%. He's a mediocre defender (we saw some of that in the Blazer game) but he's sure filling the role of microwave well

************************************************************************

if there wasn't a Jokic, would Domantas Sabonis be considered one of the best passing & scoring big men of all time?

Yeah that's an excellent point. What if our two best players end up being forwards and we don't need a Deni type for more than a 13mpg bench role. Stupid to trade away a potential #2 overall pick for that.

Seems like Cronin was trying to get the best role player to fit with a Grant/Ayton/Ant big3. If he's really trying to build our roster around that trio he's dumber than I thought.
Gotta have some contracts on team. There is a salary floor. Can’t just have young guys and picks.

Jokic by far playing as the best player in the world.

It's not his 23-20-16 stat line or beating undefeated OKC.

He has setup a 36 year old Westbrook posting legit all-star stats on great efficiency while leading the nuggets in scoring.

Jokic probably has a legit chance to take LeBron or Jordans spot as the GOAT if he can do some more of this and win another title.
Westbrook played well last night but his averages aren’t close to All Star level.

Impressive win in Boston. They're a relentless machine on offense that is always looking for the open 3-pointer or the shot at the hoop, and work hard to get those.
On defense they played with playoff intensity.
Steph Curry with 4 steals, 7 rebounds and 9 assists is playing at MVP level.
Curry playing great. Not MVP level. Buddy is the reason they’re winning.

10% of the seats are occupied. Nobody buys tickets anymore. TV revenue has replaced ticket sales. The gunner style of play is much less interesting to watch than a generation ago.
Ticket sales are a huge source of income for NBA.

Viewership is down because Warriors and Lakers are on too much. Lakers suck and the Warriors are tired.
The superstars that are entertaining are getting old. That's the problem.

Doncic is probably the biggest younger star with a personality at the moment. There isn't a prime Lebron, Durant, Kobe, MJ etc.

well, the Lakers gave him 5.4M. Lebron won't let him crash on his couch anymore
I think he made almost that much with his NIL deal last year alone. Had a friend working on the Netflix doc last season and said he’s had his own place since senior year of HS.

Bucks were last in the east, before winning 1 game against the worst team in the league. With that win, they climbed to 1 game out of 8th, and 2 games out of 3rd.

Bad start to the season to be sure but their schedule gets better the next couple weeks. They do have the Knicks and Celtics at home coming up.

Curry belongs on that list. KD doesn’t.
