I don’t understand. They say groups are decided by last year’s record but is random. Which is it? They should just divide by division.
 
Warriors fans greeting Klay in his return was awesome.

And the NBA will take credit for the increased viewership for this TNT game and say it’s because it’s an in season tournament game & ignore that people watched because of Klay’s return.

Something odd, after the technical free-throw, the referees gave the ball back to Detroit to inbound. Detroit's TV announcers assumed that Miami would be inbounding the ball and have to go full-court without a timeout.

If you call a timeout when there is none, does the other team get a free-throw and the ball?

Yeah I watched that and didn't understand why Detroit got the ball as techs don't change possession. Maybe the invalid timeout changes it. Or they had an inbound violation or something, it was odd.

No, the Heat will not "get it out of bounds" which is what the Detroit announcers also said and thought. Possession went to Detroit.

Not that it mattered much because as we know Miami had no timeouts and would have had to score with 1.1 seconds left going full court.
