Well the French notoriously don't like to work unless they absolutely have to...
This kind of extreme French?<extreme french accent w/ cigarette>
'tell me when ze real games start, mkay?'
this is much more interesting to me.
Why wouldn't they have Zion playing center?

Conflict in Israel or not, I wouldn't expect him to play on Yom Kippur. It's the holiest day in the Hebrew calendar.Deni announced he's not playing tomorrow on the eve of Yom Kippur and what's been going on with Israel and such. I kind of wonder if Washington was getting hints that Deni's mind wasn't 100% on basketball with what's happening in his area of the world so they decided to move on from Deni.
He does roll on Shabbos though.Conflict in Israel or not, I wouldn't expect him to play on Yom Kippur. It's the holiest day in the Hebrew calendar.

The Los Angeles Lakers are examining the marketplace to add a center to their roster, sources tell ESPN's Shams Charania on NBA Today.
The Lakers have Jaxson Hayes, Christian Wood and Christian Koloko on their depth chart at center behind Anthony Davis. Wood recently underwent surgery on his left knee. Hayes has reportedly been impressive in camp with the Lakers.
The Lakers have a pair of future first round picks they can use to upgrade center if a potential center becomes available via trade.
The Lakers previously had interest in Jonas Valanciunas in free agency. Valanciunas instead signed with the Washington Wizards.
I wanted Edey too. It's just preseason......but personally, I wanted Portland to acquire him because I do think he would've fit better with Scoot due to his wingspan+good hands and Scoot's tendency to "overthrow". This would've been a way to help Scoot's confidence and assist numbers, I think (you'll probably be seeing Ja show what I mean).
In that sense, I think some disappointment from fans regarding roster construction isn't a question of talent. It's a question of how the pieces are in sync together. There aren't a lot of moving pieces working together
Jesus Christ will everybody shut up about this kid? Leave him the fuck alone and treat him like every other #55 pick who's unlikely to make the league. We should have a Bronny thread. Right now, in 6 minutes, he has 0/0/0/0/0 on 0-4 shooting and a -12.

I think the lack of pieces in sync together comes from coaching. It's just preseason......but personally, I wanted Portland to acquire him because I do think he would've fit better with Scoot due to his wingspan+good hands and Scoot's tendency to "overthrow".
