Denver is done. Jokic gets all the press, but it's amazing to me how undervalued Murray is around the League. Great defense, a double-coverage threat to take the pressure off of Joker and a tremendously athletic guy with range. The four dozen Nuggets fans here in Denver are despondent.

theyre gonna miss murray as a scorer, but they still have jokic to close the games

for some reason, i usually get to see jokic taking over the game, not murray

No doubt both have had their clutch moments. I do think that when there is only one option it becomes easier for the defense to double. Someone else will have to step up for them.

So Olshey don’t like to give up Simons for Gordon and CJ for Harden

i dont believe this

why would olshey keep simons, when the blazers need ready players to compete and dame isnt getting any younger

and simons didnt show much promise to be untouchable

Olshey doesn't get rid of his first round picks. Outside of Meyers, who he held onto for 7 years while paying $40m for 6ppg and 4rpg.

GTjr coming back down to earth... 7pts in 23 minutes... 1 1/2 qts left and down by 9...

Wait, what? I must have only watched the games where he's one of the worst perimeter defenders in the league.

He’s been up and down throughout his time there. 6 points one night, 44 the next, etc...

I'm not sure why so many people are working overtime to dismiss Trent

yeah, it has only been 10 games in Toronto but he's in a completely new system in a completely new environment and has been thrust into a starting role. Per36 he's averaging 20 points. He's shooting 47% on FG's when his career mark is 43%; He's 41% on three's when his career mark is 40%; he's shooting 52% on two's when his career mark is 46%. He's upped his rebounds by over 1 per36. He's at or near career highs in Per & TS%. He's elevated his rebound rate and assist rate while lowering his turnover rate

yeah, he's inconsistent but that's pretty expected at this point in his career. Powell is a better player now, but he might not be next season

I kinda got the vibe everyone is pretty happy for him? Don’t see anyone really dismissing him? Small sample size sure. But I think we all knew he was going to continue to improve.

While this injury sucks for Denver and Murray, I think everyone is underestimating Monte Morris. He's more than serviceable as a replacement and I think he'd fit in very well with their starters.

I don't think they'll get to the finals now, but I didn't think they'd get there anyway with Murray. We lost Nurk in 2019 about this far out of the playoffs and went to WCFs.

It's not dismissive to say Powell is a far better player and a fit now and will be for the near future.

By the same token, people should be over the moon with Powell's productivity, being similarly thrust into a new environment. Unless you're suggesting that only young players should be expected to have an adjustment period?

I think it was just a backlash against a few people using his huge game to say Portland had made a huge mistake. So now people are showing that it was just one big game, not GTJ breaking out into a star.

Powell right now is more consistent then Trent at both ends. I do fill he playing out position right now but starting I think give them chance to sign him back. I do believe he better along side Dame that's why think kicking the tires in a CJ trade. We definitely need a guard that can run that second unit because CJ is not the answer. We are scoring about 9 to 11 points in 7 minutes in the 2 second unit. Plus the offense flow stop with CJ leading that group. This been happening for last 5 games could more but this when notice it.

I completely agree with you.... but have you forgotten who the GM currently is?
I doubt Olshey will look at trading CJ (although he should). Olshey has intentionally left the team without a competent backup PG because he thinks CJ and Ant can both fill that role (although not well IMO). The offensive flow has been coming to a stop for the last 5-years...not just the last 5-games.
