I haven't done the research for two years prior, but I know last year the Jazz had a brutal early season schedule and an extremely easy post-all-star break schedule, so there's probably a bit more to it than just them being good in second halves of the season.

Yes, CJ's at the far left because of minutes. He's down low because his TPA (total points added) is low, because he had a very poor start to the season.I need a numbers guy or whoever understands this chart to explain this to me........ I see Dame up there with the leagues best......but as many negative posts as Harden gets on here, is this a good thing? And look closely CJ is way at the end...... All I've heard on here is how bad of a season he is having, or is he up there because of so many minutes he's played?.....THE HCP is confused.

So TPA measures the player on BOTH ends? So if said player is scoring a ton, but his team played shitty defense, does it negatively impact them?Yes, CJ's at the far left because of minutes. He's down low because his TPA (total points added) is low, because he had a very poor start to the season.
Most negative posts about Harden are not about his impact, but his style. Nobody denies that he helps his team win games; most just hate the way he often does it, the way he exploits rules/officials to generate foul calls.
See that's what it looks like to me. Surprising. Is this saying Damian is a worse defender than Harden?
Precisely. The second graph you posted shows both halves of TPA--offensive points added (left to right) and defensive points saved (bottom to top).So TPA measures the player on BOTH ends? So if said player is scoring a ton, but his team played shitty defense, does it negatively impact them?
Then this is a stat I don't much faith in. A player shouldn't be hurt by his team being bad defensively overall. Am I wrong? And shouldn't be rewarded for the opposite. Shit so any player on the Clippers is getting a boost because they play alongside PG13,Beverly and Kawahi? Am I not getting this?Precisely. Gotcha.... ya THE HCP has never liked the +/-These calculations are based on individual OBPM and DBPM - (Box plus/minus) ratings adjusted to the number of possession a player was a part of - it is for the individual within the team.
