Memphis looking like they are going down to the Wolves . . . but we are way past worrying about Memphis right?

I guess we know who Hibbert is calling selfish! What an asshole move by George, even though he made the shot. His teammates were just staring at him, then run right by him. No wonder he had to go to Fresno State.

George may not even end the year with a PER of 20, amazingly. But ... but ... he's a SUPERSTAR!!!

The Pacers were only up by one point when he pulled that. If I were the coach I would bench him for the rest of the regular season. That team is a mental mess.

Also, did you notice that the shot clock went back to :24 seconds when there was 2 left? lol.

Also, Minny beating Memphis... and hey, if it gives us cushion and takes our magic number down a bit, I'm all for it.

I really am shocked by that play. Very little shocks me in the NBA. Hoisting up 40' shots early in the shot clock, and late in the game, with a one point lead is just mind-boggling. Is Paul George having some sort of mental breakdown? Who takes that shot? Sure, he made it, but his teammates must be wondering WTF was that?

I've never seen that type of shot with a close lead, late in a game, and a full shot clock. Wow!

Rockets lost! Grizz losing and Golden State down? This is good!

Hibbert may want to reconsider what he said about Paul (although he did make the shot):

“We’ve fallen in love with the jump shot for a while,” Hibbert said. “People feel like they have it going and they want to do it themselves sometimes. That’s just how it works. I feel like two guys that I have 100 percent trust in doing that is Paul and David. I feel like they should have carte blanche on whatever they want to do in terms of attacking the paint and (put) the ball’s in their hands because they’ve earned my respect.”

Minny is up on the Grizz but famous for blowing leads in the 4th qtr.

Watch it again... when he receives it, it's at 2.8... but then it magically goes back to 24 when it's in his hand.

You guys are reacting without actually watching that full highlight. He was forced to shoot because the refs didn't reset the the clock.

First of all, the "mixums" gloss is classic. Secondly, that website slows down my entire computer. What an odd site that was to be a member of for a while.

It's fun watching him pretty much have that Blazer forum to himself. I think he's happy over there. He can make all the doom and gloom posts he wants and no one is there to insult him.

It was off of an offensive rebound. It was obvious that the clock should have been reset.

I suppose... but it was still going when it was in George's hand....

Not defending him... but he probably freaked and thought he has to shoot it... Ah well. Indiana is faltering. lol.

So that's interesting. Do you think PG saw the shot clock on top of the basket was winding down so he shot it to beat the clock?

It would explain the shot a little better.

Edit: you guys are way ahead of me. It does look like he settled and then quickly took the shot

Shot clock had 2 seconds on it so he shot it

Arguing anything else is being on the level of a John Canzano or Jason Quick

It's the only explanation that makes sense. I'll trust that's what happened, although in the gif in this thread, the shot clock is at 23 by the time George starts shooting the ball.

Shot clock had 22 or 23 seconds on it when he shoots the ball.

Here's a video clip of the possession.

The shot clock is at 22 when he shoots the ball. I'll excuse him for thinking he needed to shoot it, though.

He's not a SUPERSTAR, IMO, though.

Calling someone a Canzano is a personal insult. Don't make me ban you!
