Wtf, apparently Charles Barkley picked us to beat the Rockets?!?

The League Office has given itself the authority to suspend any employee of an NBA team whose salary is paid by the team owner. This includes ushers, hot dog sellers, secretaries, and parking garage valets.

Since the league admits the referee caused the initial problem, why wasn't he suspended, too?
Sean Heath is a martyr for basketball fans everywhere for making the NBA's 'reputation' of fixing games a big story. Again. We all owe him a debt of gratitude. A moment of silence in his honor, please.

Well shit now we'll get swept.

Oooooor, they know that the league has been setting up HOU to be the poster boy for an anti-flopping campaign that they're going to unleash in the first round of the Playoffs.

This would be sooooooooooooooooo awesome if it was true

Do you mean, the authority is in the contracts between the owners and the League, but has never been done? Or do you mean, an NBA announcer has actually been suspended?

I'm surprised by either. I would have expected that if the Commissioner dislikes the behavior of a Paul Allen employee, his only recourse would be to simply pressure Allen to order Allen's employee to change.

I would expect the league asks the owner to suspend said person and then the owner is obligated to do it. Something along the lines of "you can disagree and not suspend this person but you will never ever get a good draft pick or favorable reffing again" kind of agreement.

Yep. And everyone take off your hat.

Like, "You will find your ping pong balls sticking to the bottom like popcorn seeds in a gooey popper."

They have always been able to suspend Announcers. Hell the refs have thrown out announcers from games before. NFL can do the same thing.

C'mon. What kind of jackass announcer would get thrown out of a game?

Never mind.

Udonis...Udo-it

Gets Lance Stephenson to foul him, then makes a jumper, then gets Sir Lancelot to foul him again...43-39 Heat 30 seconds till halftime

Paul George for 3, Bosh drives, gets Hibbert to foul him with point 8 seconds left, 2nd foul on Hibbs within 2 minutes, 45-42 halftime.

Wolves playing without Love or Martin and they led the Rockets by 15. Rockets have come back but Brewer has 20 points and there are 9 minutes left in first half.

59-42 Miami. The Heat colorman has a Mafia accent. Their play by play man has long ago thrown out his voice. It is permanently shot.

16 straight Heat points, Indiana now down 19. I'm switching to the Blazer game, now starting.

Houston up 63-59 at halftime against a Minnesota team playing without Kevin Love (and Kevin Martin, of course).

No Duncan and no Ginobili tonight for the Spurs at home against the Suns.

Last night, both played in a win at Dallas. I'm not sure what to make of it, but PHX could take this as a slight in Round One.

Corey Brewer is having the game of his life. 44 right now.

Drummond with 26 points and 26 rebounds in a loss (+1)

Noah gets the win with 6 points/12 rebounds/10 assists (+18)
