I can’t believe the Lakers made this deal. I honestly believe this takes the Lakers out of title contention. Unless Westbrook gets hurt.

It may take them out, but Brick can be different player under Bron. I honestly believe one team that is 100% out of tittle contention at the moment is rite in front of your eyes tho.

OKC came into this draft with 3 first round picks.

They left with 3 future first round picks + 2 drafted 1st round picks.

What in the blue fuck.

Can we get Montrezl Harrell somehow, after he goes for Hield?

Yes or No ?

Well, I doubt I'd be into it if it were a possibility but we'll either re-sign Norm or I see apocalyptic things for this team. If we re-sign Norm then we won't have the MLE he's asking for... we'll have the taxpayer MLE which is 4M less. If we blow it all up, he wouldn't be someone I'd be interested in at any price. More directly I do think that's too much for him given his inconsistencies due to injury. So that's a no on a few levels.

I like this comment by laker fan:

"We just acquired the worst shooter in NBA history who also happens to never play defense so he can stat pad rebounds, who also happens to have zero basketball IQ. Other than that this is a great trade."
Pelinka is a genius.....

If the Lakers manage to get some quality minimum vets and stay healthy, they can do some damage, but I have a feeling that like all 3 of his recent stops, the wheels are going to come off that wagon.

I will be happy if the just manage to lure Melo away from Neil.

Russ definitely isn't the worst shooter in the NBA but he shouldn't be shooting threes off of the dribble ever. Also, Russ can be one of the best lock down defenders in the league when he wants to, we've seen it. His basketball IQ isn't low, he's just decided to prioritize stats over winning and has accomplished his goals in doing it. So if LeBron can re-calibrate Russ to a win first mentality, to forget about stats and to not be a chucker but only take open spot up jumpers then this will be a good move for the Lakers. Those are a lot of ifs and a few new tricks to teach a stubborn old dog.

Porter has managed to play in 96 games over the last 3 seasons. That's 96 out of 250 games; about 38%

Unless you're counting playoffs, there hasn't been that many games over the past three seasons.

It's probably more like 43%. Still not great.

I think I'd rather have Batum
He has only played 5 fewer games then K Love and some are wanting the Blazers to get Love. I personally would rather see them get someone that isn't injury prone before either of them.

Colangelo on Kevin Love: “I didn’t think Kevin Love was gonna play. I wasn’t even sure he had much left to play. He reached out to us and said he was in shape and said he felt he owed us. And on the basis of that, we’re looking at someone with international experience who at one time was a heck of a rebounder and could still shoot the ball. You know, being like a 12th man on a roster. Well, it didn’t work out. He wasn’t in shape. And he was way behind as it turned out. So you move on. Call it a mistake. Call it giving someone an opportunity. Someone who had equity with us. Guys who play for us get a little plus.”

This is both hilarious and also something that never should have came out.

Thompson for Dunn and a pick

What?

ATL just exchanged Dunn for Delon? That's a great deal for them.

This deal is a classic case of how three team deals develop. The deal gets leaked by Woj. He even has Atlanta's company line of how Thompson will be used to backup Capela.

Then 30 minutes later Thompson is sent to Sacramento and Woj says the reasoning is that he's now SAC's insurance policy.
