They are 17-2. They, like every team play the schedule they are handed. They have the best record in the NBA.
Not sure what the 2nd line means, is this an attempted crack?
But theyre not 17-2 without playing that schedule. Theyre overrated at the moment.

BR covers the Lakers more than the rest of the NBA.

I don’t really look at who has played who and when. They have played their schedule the league gave them, and have the best record in the league, point blank. We have played a ton of garbage teams and lost. That doesn’t hold much weight with me either. Some teams play teams missing their stars, some don’t....all that stuff just happens. We travel more than anybody, doesn’t matter. Part of the marathon that is the season.
In my opinion, you can only go off wins and losses......your record. That’s all I’m saying. Surprised there isn’t much talk about the team with the BEST record.

There's not much talk about the Lakers in S2 because everywhere else on the planet it's the only team anybody talks about....they don't need more ink....that and we pretty much hate the Lakers anyway ...they have you to represent and we allow it around here but one is enough!

You're the guy whos always saying "Is it just me or do we play a lot of teams with their best player out?"

Naturally, playing an easier schedule will lead to a better record compared to a harder schedule. Are you arguing that or not?

Also, this is a Blazer forum.

Me commenting on us playing against teams missing stars goes back 10 years mocking an old member......... and this is the AROUND THE NBA THREAD.

I think HCP is merely pointing out the hate that flows through us about the lakers.... In his own special way.

Cause hes our own special person.
I think he’s rubbing it in our faces that the Lakers are having a better year than the Blazers fo far. :)

Chief out indefinitely with a torn meniscus.....Orlando paid him just under 30 mil to sign there....we dodged a bullet. I wish Chief well and a speedy recovery

Fortunately many times with meniscus tears, recovery can be fairly quick as surgery is often very unevasive. Of course it depends on the extent and how much meniscus they trim away if they do surgery.

I had a torn meniscus from playing tennis when I was in my early 40s...took a couple of years before I could play tennis again..and also it's an injury that gets re-injured really easily. Messes with lateral movement more than anything...

my wife had meniscus surgery and she was out of the hospital the same day and we went to my daughters soccer game that evening. Like any injury it depends on the severity but with knee surgeries it's often the less severe type of surgery and NBA players have access to the best rehabbing available. Heck Brandon Roy played 8 days after having meniscus surgery. I am hoping for a quick recovery for Chief as he seems to be a good guy and works hard.

You expect Blazer fans to want to talk at length about the Lakers being 17-2 and youre surprised when they dont?

Ya but that was 50 years ago, we've come a long way since then grandpa!

That worked out well!

Roy's knees were shot. It wasn't any particular injury or that minor surgery he had as he basically had no meniscus left by that time in either knee. No evidence of Aminu's knees being anywhere close to being similar. My point was that he was able to play 8 days after having meniscus surgery.

I understand but my point was, that was risky for Roy to do...I wish Chief well...time frames for recovery are what they are...stitches are still stitches which from my experience say at least 6 weeks...the Magic list him as out indefinitely

ok, but to me 6 weeks is a very short time for a knee injury and why I said meniscus tears are commonly much quicker recovery than other knee surgeries. That's all I have really been saying as an acl or pcl surgery would likely be season ending. Last report I read is that they might go with rehabbing and rest rather than surgery so his recovery time could be shorter and seems it's not severe. I don;t know if he has had an MRI yet.

Luka is insane. I think he is already better than LeBron.
