I don't think a rookie should ever be called greatest. They are still learning. Clark is very good and legit superstar.

I watch a bunch of High School basketball and 17-U leagues. Believe me it’s less dynamic. Without question. I have never felt speaking the truth was disparaging in any way. Maybe you disagree?
 
Angel Reese just got big endorsement deal with Reese's Pieces.

I could be a killjoy and say athletes shouldn't promote candy but that is so perfect.

There was no crap dished to her there. Defenders were just playing defense.

The reality is, you have to go take it to her or she'll take it to you. It's a competition.

She's no victim. Between these antics and the flopping... She deserves everything she gets. I don't fault her for it, but if you play that way people are going to play you the way they play her.

Nobody should feel bad about that either way.

I didn't say there was any crap dished to her in the video you showed. She was clearly the aggressor in those two moments. However, I absolutely do believe there is a lot of jealousy of her in the WNBA. In the games I've seen she takes more cheap shots than she gives out. It's a fine line. I know when I played I liked to give out the occasional chicken wing and I loved to set picks.
 
She is a hugely heralded rookie. Vets are going to make her prove herself. Happens to men as well. It's just there's more tendency to see white woman as fragile. Caitlin Clark is not fragile.

That's the thing about dishing it out to the whole league... There are more of them to dish it out to you. Play a respectful game and most people will play a respectful game with you.

There will always be assholes. But if you ARE one of the assholes I don't have much sympathy for you.

She's not an asshole. She's just better than everybody else at embarrassing her opponent. She's cooking now and I love to see it. She has a great handle, great vision, and she has the most range of anyone in the league.

She can be all of that and still be an asshole. You don't two hand push a defender in the chest like that for just standing close to you unless you're an asshole.

You don't do the other antics she does either unless you're an asshole.

All of the other stuff you said can be true. She's definitely an asshole.

Barkley was an asshole too. And he was one of my favorite players.

But he didn't stoop to the childish crap like she does (walking into opponents and then flopping… etc).

She is 100% a cheap asshole. She's also incredibly talented, and yes, she's cooking.

I didn't specifically say that was childish. Walking into players and then flopping like you were shot away from the ball to try to draw fouls. That's childish and cheap.

Two hand shoving a defender who is just playing good defense is a cheap asshole thing to do.

And it's fine. She's a grown woman and she can be a cheap childish asshole. And the rest of the league are grown women too. They can dish it right back.

I don't feel the least bit sorry for her.

That's fine. People will do it back. I always played the respectful game unless somebody played cheap with me.

Then people didn't like playing me anymore. I promise you, I'll ratchet it up more than you will. And there are players in the league who are the same way.

Again, these are adults. Shit happens in games. I don't feel the least bit sorry for anyone who plays cheap basketball like that.

But she's killing it. And that's awesome. It's been great for the game. But don't expect the league to just let you disrespect them and not fight back.

Dude. I've seen women run into her back at near full speed. Now that is dirty and could cause an injury. Pushing off with your hands is part of the game although it can be a foul if it's too forceful. She reminds me of MJ when he entered the NBA. You had teams like the Pistons beating the shit out of him, and I think a similar thing is going on with her.

Yeah, and that was called a foul. It was a foul. She plays cheap as well. Played cheap all the way through college.

I'm not going to feel bad for her. She asks for it as far as I can tell.

Oh absolutely. She's doing incredibly well. Just all the talk of people being harsh on her while she treats others the same way is kind of stupid.

She plays dirty and that encourages others to play dirty with her.
 
WNBA hard its collective breath when Caitlin Clark rolled her ankle early in game against Atlanta and collapsed on court in obvious pain.

Fortunately not serious. She was able to walk it off, got wrapped and back in court.
