ya not sure why they're delaying. Our local media on top of it as usual, smh. This forum has a better understanding and interest in learning the CBA than the guys who actually have access to the team.

It’s funny because I know they actively browse this board. So many times a thread would start about a quote from Olshey or a report about a player and like clockwork, the blazers official Twitter, or some local media member would tweet about it half hour later. We should be getting a commission.

Marc Berman is fairly reputable. Portland can't offer as much (MLE) as the other teams mentioned, can they?

Atlanta has space but doubt they would spend on any free agent, let alone Beasley. They’re rebuilding.

Milwaukee won’t have more $ to offer than Portland unless they choose not to bring back Jabari.

I’d try and see if we could get Beasley for the bi annual exception first, if that’s even an option. Not a cap expert.

Question: if Woj doesn’t tweet about Pat and Napier, will we know what the decision was?
When is the decision due date for their QO?? What about Jake? I really hope we lay all 3 go

I think Pat will join Napier as gone but somehow Layman stays.

We could potentially keep Jake to use as outgoing salary that we could need to match incoming salary in a trade.

BAE also hard caps us at the apron, so I don't think that's an option.

I don't really see why Layman can't be kept for the end of the bench with Simons. He's cheap and could still develop into a nice player if his jumper ever started falling consistently.

But what if Nurk takes the QO?
If Nurk really does take the QO (still not convinced he will), the Blazers basically have three routes:

1) Go cheap and try to stay under the tax or at a point where they could get under the tax at the deadline (see the last two years)

2) Use the BAE and Full-MLE and get hard capped but say goodbye to Davis and the TPE's

3) Use the TPE's, the tax-MLE, re-sign Davis, basically go All-In because of the savings.
