That's a shame, figured he wouldn't be the kind of guy Drury would target, not "sexy" enough. Four years at $5.5M per is pretty reasonable, I think. I have this feeling Stamkos will be a Ranger, just seems like a Drury move.

Drury showing he’s out of his league in the GM spot big time. Trouba thing is a huge mess. Missing out on lots of targets too. Giant mess he’s made here and we are once again weaker than competition going forward. He’s single handedly killing the team again
Drury’s gotta get fired. Did nothing worthwhile at the deadline and now is getting nothing via FA and has completely bumbled and fucked yo the Trouba situation. Could be the WORST GM we’ve ever had at this point.

Nashville. Well, the free agents have made it very clear they do not care about winning another Stanley Cup or one Stanley Cup they want the money. I’m telling you right now you’ll be able to get these guys at after salary at the trade deadline.

I absolutely love what Drury is doing. He’s not overpaying for players who clearly don’t give a shit about winning. These players are taking the most money figuring they’re going to get a new contract and then they’re gonna get traded at the deadline because their team sucks.

First of all, the free agents have not made some new decision to take money over winning, it has been that way 98% of the time FOREVER in sports, so don't act like this is something new this summer.
Second of all, even if they cared about winning a SC over money, which they don't and haven't forever, why would they come here with a terrible WAY in over his head Pres and GM to play for a team that has no clue how to win a Cup. After his trade DL, and now so far today whiffing on player after player, it is crystal clear Drury is lost and, in a job, he has zero business being in, as I said from DAY ONE when he was promoted by Dolan and Sather.

Or…why would guys come here when they can go to a team committed to winning and willing to go all in. Nashville is a good team and just got WAY better. With the three they just signed they could absolutely represent the west in the Cup finals. Rangers were a soft team that needed to add a power forward and defense and once again your mouth is wrapped around Drury’s dick so deeply that you can’t come up for air and realize that this is a literal repeat of the trade deadline. Drury is an incompetent moron. We will have to trade Igor now because he won’t want to resign here or else he will only be doing it for the money and not to win a cup as we won’t have anyone worth a damn surrounding him.

Once again, the correct answer is adding the few kids that are good/will be good to the lineup and have a balance. Cuylle, Othmann, and I am sure Perrault will all fit into that class now/soon I expect.

Everyone just calm the fuck down already. The offseason is in it's infancy. FA just started 40 minutes ago....just be patient and see what they do. If you still feel how you're feeling 5 days from now then go nuts but, these complaints that are popping up are a bit premature.
I don't think either of the "94's" has ever said trade all our picks and young players, despite your constant using of that comment. It should be a mix, but that doesn't work for your kids kids kids narrative, so you have to say we want to trade all the picks and young players to make yourself feel better.
It’s always “the future.” Problem is it’s ALWAYS the future with you never the present. That’s why this team doesn’t win. “Can’t trade so and so because in 10 years they will be good.” Then they never come up because they’re a bust. You have to balance the future with the present but if you’re telling me you’d rather be a mid team for the next 5-10 years seeing a conference final every so often over winning the cup and then having to rebuild then you are what’s wrong with this team.
