And we know he's close with Dame.FWIW, Haynes isn’t really the type to speculate. I actually don’t remember the last time he did.
You're right that Masai is trying to fleece us but it's not by getting the 7 for OG. The idea was floated to him in an interview earlier last week and he said some shit like, "I would have a hard time finding someone as good as OG at number 7." So he was laying the groundwork to try to fleece us for more pieces than the 7 but the 7 with Bledsoe is a good deal.Masai Ujiri is trying to fleece us. I think we can get a better player than OG at 7.
7 + Bledsoe + scraps (Brown/Didi/Winslow/Watford etc) is my limit. No Nas, no Josh. And we know he's close with Dame.
I'm all for 7 and Bledsoe for OG. I wish we had just drafted him. But that's beside the point. Plenty of the guys in this draft are intriguing, for sure. But I like
Dame
Ant
OG
Grant
Nurk
With Hart, Watford, Winslow off thr bench, and still some moves to be made
He is a fine role player. He is the safe play. #7 will be a gamble but you get then cheap and cost controlled for 4 years. We don't need a fine role player to contend. We need a star. How are you calculating the value of the #7 pick? Worth more to us? Or to other teams? Or is it because at #7 there is a virtual guarantee we can draft a player of equal potential/skill?
Picks have always been the toughest for me to gauge value because of the many xfactors.
To me, I think another B+ trade would be #7, #46 and Bledsoe for OG and #33.
I have not watched much of OG’s game, other than highlight packages posted though, so maybe you know more about him that factors into the value contrast than I?
OG had an ACL which would be troubling if it hadn't been healthy for the last four and a half years. His other two major injuries were a broken finger and an appendectomy. I'm not sure about the appendix but fingers are rarely a chronic injury.
I keep forgetting about Winslow, he may be the reason we include Nas. We better get Toronto’s early 2nd rounder back. I’d like to trade back into the back half of the 1st round. And we know he's close with Dame.

Yeah I think I Pass.https://raptorsrapture.com/2022/03/07/raptors-worried-og-anunoby-injury-history/
Masai Ujiri should be just a bit worried about the fact one of the cornerstones of his master plan to rebuild the team has sustained significant knee, hip, calf, appendix, and hand injuries before turning 25 years old.
Anunoby has now sustained a serious injury in three of the last four seasons, and that should give the Raptors some cause for concern. With more mileage on that body, could the injuries keep increasing?
I was just going off the assumption we'd end up including him. I hope not. Would include him over Hart, personally. I think Nas has a higher ceiling, but the injuries every time he turns around scare me.7 + Bledsoe + scraps (Brown/Did/Winslow/Watford etc) is my limit. No Nas, no Josh.
You're missing Nas in your rotation too btw.
Thanks for the article but look at the actual injury reports. The hip, eye and calf were him getting dinged up and that team having a history of playing it super safe with injuries. The finger and appendix as I alluded to are the injuries that kept him out for two seperate sustained stretches the last two seasons and they are not possibly chronic.https://raptorsrapture.com/2022/03/07/raptors-worried-og-anunoby-injury-history/

Didn't a rumor come out that they want Simons and the number 7? Thats too much if so.
#7 and Bledsoe.
Make it happen Joe!!!
Sign and trade?Simons is a free agent, so he can't be traded at the draft.

Yeah, listing it as a "significant" appendix injury is lame journalism. Thanks for the article but look at the actual injury reports. Now if we could just shout it once more for the people in the back that keep on attaching him or Nurk to #7.I believe this is correct, Simons is a free agent so he can’t be traded at the draft.
Fine. keep OG then. There is risk for anyone trading for OG.You're right that Masai is trying to fleece us but it's not by getting the 7 for OG. For me I'm super cool with EBEC and 7 for OG but I'm not cool with losing any of our rotation players with the pick for him. So Hart, Nas and Justise are off limits. If Masai demands one of them then we move on... hopefully.Blazers would need to guarantee EBEC up to $14M, or it would take Hart + ???scrub.
Basically, a sign and trade with a current draft pick never happens. The draft comes before free agency, so we'd have to pick for them, hope ant wants to go there, and if it all falls apart, hope we like the player we picked for them. It do3snt happen. Is a sign and trade not an option? Maybe it would take too long to do, or maybe the contract is all written up for a last minute approval?
Asking for the deaf.
OG scores better (or much better) but Dyson Daniels can play point guard or at least be a secondary passer and 2nd unit point guard. They both play defense and rebound well.So to me it comes down to if it's worst case scenario and Sharpe and Murray are gone is Daniels better for us than OG or vice versa?
