Any discussions with TOR, and they want more than #7/EBEC. It will be a test of wills. Hopefully Joe is getting his sea legs.
I hope it's not a test of wills. Joe should have already decided what he will trade and not budge from that. It's far from a sure thing that trading the 7th pick will be a good idea after a few years.

Well it seems he's a much different negotiator when he's the buyer because all of the rumors were that Detroit was demanding two firsts for Grant, then we had to have that late lotto pick for him and finally we gave them the Bucks 2025 first and some seconds that teams can buy for cash on the night of the draft.

The only known in the equation is OG's floor, everything else is a variable.

I like OG but a pick and a player other than Bledsoe and I say no.

If it's just the pick it's all dependent on who is on the board.

If it's to be done I expect it last minute.

My only worry is that clipper trade as precedent for impatience. Lol.

Really? A player other than Bledsoe? You wouldn't consider dealing Blevins (I assume he's a FA and can't be dealt, so just consider the green font).

Don't get me wrong, as much as I hope we can get OG for 7 and EBEC... I will be a little bummed that we won't get the excitement of not knowing just how good one of these rookies could be. What I wouldn't miss would be the uncertainty around if they'll even be good.

Meanwhile, on the raptors forum…

When did OG become LeBron cause they are talking like he is this mega star and such when in reality -- NO

He is a very good piece who I think needs to be surrounded by other good pieces --- at best he has CJ value but even that might be a stretch cause he has injury concerns etc -- cause I do not think OG could lead a team he at best is Robin and more realistic the next hero in line after Robin plain and simple.

Any good will that Cronin gained for getting Grant on the cheap would be flushed down the toilet if he did a trade like the one suggested in the Raptors forum.

The only thing that would save him from being enemy #1 would be a title.

Going to add something --- The Raps are totally making more of OG then he is but some Blazer fans are JUST as guilty on Nas and I think the Blazers should think of trading him cause correct me if i am wrong he is coming up on a contract year and the Blazers cannot afford to pay everyone so trade him while he has value IF the trade makes sense.

I like OG a lot. And if we’re planning on keeping Lillard and trying to make a run at something he makes more sense than the 7th which would most likely not be an impact guy right off the bat.

It completely depends on what direction we’re going. Youth movement or add pieces for Lillard?

I think I would rather gamble in the draft than OG but wouldn't be too upset. I really think the only way we contend is getting exceptionally lucky and drafting a generational talent.
