If you’re in Vegas, where is there, and why do you care where someone is if they’re not in Vegas?
 
Is Tayshaun still freakishly thin? I can't imagine him getting a middle-aged gut - it would be like a knotted string.

Sidetrack: there was a guy I used to play pickup with that everyone called "Tayshaun" (his real name was actually James Brown, so "The Godfather" was right there). It confused the hell out of me at first because he was a little round guy, but I guess he had an incredibly pale complexion and that was the relevant comparison in his buddies' minds.

Came back yesterday. It was crazy busy there this week. Lots of faces. Big crowds around obviously famous people. Too many to count.

I enjoyed the tower, and walking around the complex. But the walls are paper thin. It is what it is. On a budget, it ain't bad. Probably a good place to go to keep out of the limelight.

Everything about that place seems expensive to me?
I usually stay at the Mirage. I get pretty good rates there.
We just stayed at the MGM Grand because we got a package. Not sure I can afford that without one.

The strat is big dookie. Location is terrible. So many hotels that are way better. Strat is honestly at the very bottom for me in terms of places to stay. I'd rather stay at the Luxor than the Strat.

I love Top of the World at the Strat. I’m celebrating my birthday there next month.

Is the Luxor good? I’ve been there for Blue Man.
I love that show. I like the location. It’s also got the trams.

To each their own. Its just always been one of the cheapest options and the location sucks. Stayed their one night and wasn't impressed.

No. But I like the location more. Its one of the cheaper options too. If I just want a room its my go-to since i rarely stay in my room.

You guys keep saying it’s cheap? It’s like twice the cost of the Mirage?
Making me feel pretty cheap.
 
Even New York New York was cheaper than the Strat?

That’s exactly why I go for the cheapest I can get.
I’m never in there. Seriously I sleep like 3-4 hours a day in Vegas and that might be in two shifts.

Luxor is great value for the buck!

You have to stay once in a pyramid corner suite. It's a funky two-room minisuite. The inclinators (the elevators are inclined and go up the sides of the pyramid) are trippy. (Look on MGM's website for a cheap rate for the pyramid corner suite.) The rooms in the tower (not in the pyramid) are very big and nice for the price.

If you're a MyVegas player the BOGO for the buffet is a cheap and good option for breakfast. Or go about 11am when lunch is fresh and make it brunch. Also get the BOGO or the free pass for the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, which includes a free pass to their pools.
