Our playoffs hopes dashed 2 years in a row at the hands of the Huskies, in close games....
Oregon's playoffs hopes are not dashed. Since this is pretty common knowledge yet you're going there anyways, it reads like you're a troll

If we had those two field goals….

even one would have helped a ton

having those two time-outs the Ducks squandered on that next to last drive would have helped a lot too. Or pinning the Huskies inside their 10 with a punt (although the way the Duck defense just wilted at the end, 90 yards might not have made a difference)

having the starting CB's would have been helpful as well.

and having quality officials

Pac 12 refs have a reputation for being shit. I can see why now. The Ducks had enough adversity on the road. But the officiating, specifically the no calls were egregious. One of those Penix touchdown passes was blatant holding otherwise would have been a sack. Herbstreit even mumbled to himself like wow

PAC 12 teams have a hard time getting in if they don't win out. But if they had beaten Washington and won out it would be hard to keep them out.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but not likely.

lol I'd be very shocked if there's an undefeated Pac 12 team.

Everyone who had Arizona as the first PAC-12 team to win a road game vs a ranked conference opponent, raise your hand.

44-6...for the Cougs that probably seems like 3 losses. WSU scored first 5 minutes into the 1st Q. Cats scored the next 44 points

I really wish they had beaten USC last week. Definitely gonna be a tough matchup for the Beavs in a couple weeks.

Also wondering if Lanning doesn't have faith in the kicker and that's why we kept going for it?
Nah. I liked going for it. Probably needed more imaginative play calls on those 4th downs. If the Ducks convert their season average on 4th downs they would win the game going away. Even one of them would have done it.

And on the last one, even failing, they got the ball back with plenty of time to win it. It may well have been worse if the Huskies had another 25 yards to go.

The Ducks had the ball with plenty of time to win the game against the #7 team in the country. And they had been gashing them.

This is only Lanning's 2nd season. And it's been fun.

I don't fault him for it. I love the aggressive play calling. Just need to get the coordinators and players to execute at a bit higher level. The players and coordinators want to be in those situations.

the Irish slaughtered USC. The Ducks are still in great shape to win the conference.

Is this gonna be another one of those super awesome letdown games that we are famous for after losing a heart breaker? Usually it’s Arizona who does this to us.

Does the school own that Harley? Or has it always been the same dude?
