LOL just saw an ad on Fox for the USC/Colorado game next weekend. Still trying to pump it up. After USC crushes them as well, do you think the media will finally back off?

the media won't, the Colorado hype is cranked full blast. Now AP rankings... they run a different system.

Because Deion is the first black head coach ever!

These dudes ignore the fact that people have been hating on Deion for like 40 years. The guy has ALWAYS been polarizing. I loved him when he was a Niner.... and then I didn't love him anymore.

People don't like that the guy has so much hype without proving anything at this level.

Not surprising. We are now at a point where any criticism at all of someone who is black will be perceived by some people to be racist. Forgetting the fact that there have been quite a few black college football coaches. Oregon just had one not even that long ago.

Not sure why they can't just accept that Deion is polarizing, always has been, and some people don't like him.

That guy's words are racist.

You know that old saying, "when you're a hammer, everything looks like a nail."

Some people hate white people because they think that all white people hate them. It's sad, but they view the world through that lens. So when they see a comment like "Oregon is taking a stand for all of us," they interpret "all of us" to mean white people, while everyone else just thinks they mean all other college football fans.

"We're not done yet."

The score was 35-0 at halftime when he said that.

Final score was 42-6 with both teams only scoring one TD.

The Ducks did take their foot off the gas.

That makes what Lanning said a lie, not racism.

Sly over here defending an obvious racist!

Did Lanning & Oregon's mostly Aftrican American roster of players run the score up on them because they're rascist or just maybe could the classless acts by Buffs players on this video from their walk through the day prior have fired the home team up a bit?

STOMP

With an entire half of football still to play I would hope any coach would be saying "We're not done yet!". Oregon is in the running for a couple things. One is obviously national rankings. They need to play complete games no matter the opponent. If they let an opponent like the Buffaloes back in the game they lose even if they win. Then there is the heisman. They are also trying to get their QB in the Heisman talks. Even if he doesn't win it he did decide to play another year for the Ducks when he could have gone pro.
There is and never was any Racism in his statements. It's completely made up to get more clicks. Lanning needs to stay the course and not get sidetracked. Which I'm sure he will do.

Oh yeah. Go Beavs...

even though it was a total curb-stomping, the broadcast crew slobbered all over Prime and the Buffs all afternoon. Colorado will probably finish the season at 7-5 or 6-6, maybe 5-7 and I'd bet ESPN/Disney/ABC and national pundits will still be slobbering
They were stoking the hype machine hard. Especially the lead announcer. I'm sure glad I didn't take a shot of bourbon every time that shill said "Coach Prime" :smiley-puke:
