If Nintendo keeps losing money you can bet they'll put the team up for sale.

they sure threw some money around this winter like they werent worried. Nintendo has so much money its crazy. I bet they would wait quite a while before bailing.

At least they have the Wii-U to keep them afloat :devilwink: (f off I have a Wii-U and I love it)

also.. for the love of everything thats holy Tear down the effing Memorial Coliseum!

My bank account would love it!!!!! I hate baseball, but would love the work.

PapaG is my dawg! I'll have you banned by closing time.

The 3ds is really good, and if the Wii U goes down in price further than it did during the holidays i'll pick one up after i get my Ps4 and a new graphics card.

I think Paul is still trying to acquire an NHL team. If anything he is reason why there is discussion about a potential team here.

I just got done listening to Jaynes on talking ball on how there isn't a billionaire in the mix and because there isn't one and there won't ever be one, it won't ever happen. Chris McGowan who I believe is working on Hockey I think is just the guy to sell Paul on the idea. Of course it's got to make financial sense for Paul. But I think Chris maybe just the guy to sell Paul on the idea. Unless Paul is waiting for the Mariners and Safeco Field to become available which is a possibility.

Your Neil Olshey? I would just love to see NHL in Portland! I think it would just be fantastic for the city!!

dude I love my 3ds... not even joking. Nintendo makes some of the best exclusives out there. Mario 3d World is a blast with 3 other friends for local co-op

I got that new Legend of Zelda game recently but haven't gotten around to playing it yet.

I heard that one is great. I want it, but I have such a backlog of games to play I'm gonna wait. I bought Ocarina of Time 3D for the plane ride to Hawaii last year but didnt end up playing it. I still have never beaten that game

3ds<<Vita

The Vita is way more powerfule sure. But most of the games on it, are just games I'd prefer to play on my TV on PS3. (Guacamelee is the best!!!)

I comes down to the different things offered on the handheld vs console of each company for me. 3ds offers things way different than Wii U. Vita offers mostly the same of whats on PS3 already (Excluding Tearaway)

how did a thread about baseball coming to portland turn into a nerdgasm?

THAT'S how boring baseball is! Even people who like it would rather discuss something else.

Good baseball rocks! It's a great game. Portland would benefit from a major league bb franchise. I've watched the Ems in Eugene many times and it's a real family friendly atmosphere.

Now video games, those are boring!
To watch? Yes. But to play? No*. Well, a qualified no - I'm sure some games are boring to play. But this ain't the age of pong, old man river!
I honestly don't know what I'd prefer to watch - baseball, or someone playing a video game. Probably the video game.

*I rarely play video games, but I do recognize that they can be fun and engaging. Far more so than watching (not playing!) baseball.

Thank you for bringing this back. haha.

Baseball is a beautiful sport. I do, however, understand that a lot of people don't like it. Unfortunately, The casual fan got influenced by the media witch hunt, but that's okay, they don't think for themselves, so it's not a huge loss.

The 3ds really needs to get SNES games on the eshop though, i want to play some games i played as a kid or missed out on.

Bottom of the 9th, bases loaded, cleanup batter at the plate. Full count. Guy with a wicked slider on the mound. Crowd standing and roaring!! All with the smell of a backyard picnic and your kid might catch that homerun ball and keep it forever. No game has the drama of baseball.

My son could've written this, he love them. I made him shut them off and shoot hoops with me out in the driveway. Or play catch. I beg to differ but so did he!
