OT Rumor that Seattle will land Kings.

I really like that idea! Then Minny, Utah, OKC, and Memphis in the NW division. SAS, HOU, PHX, DALLAS, NOLA in Southwest.

And then rename the NW and SW conferences the Pac-10, because there's two good teams and 8 garbage teams. :ghoti:

I think it's just the opposite. Kick the Suns out and have POR, SEA, LAL, LAC and the GSW back in the "Pacific" division.

Been sayin this for years, even with the Kings in SAC. Our current alignment makes no sense whatsoever. It's a very simple switch with us and the Suns.

With Boeing's reduced presence in Seattle, is it still fit to call them the Super Sonics? Should be something more related to MSFT maybe, or even go the MLS route with something related to their location.

Is there royalty in Sacramento? A great history of Jazz in Utah?

It doesn't matter; Seattle's team should be named the Sonics imho.

They should embrace the city's culture and name them the Seattle SeaWeed. Every FA in the league would want to come to a place with no state income tax and legal mary J, right?

So will Sacramento fans become OKC fans? Will Seattle fans now have a rivalry with OKC?

Calling them something to do with Microsoft?

The Seattle BlueScreenOfDeaths? Or the Seattle Crashes?

Well, since Furness is probably going to be covering the team then you could go with the Seattle Hacks.

I would just name them "FU OKC" and say it stands for something ridiculous.

say that they set up a sister city partnership in Japan who will be joint sponsors of the team. The Seattle/Fuk-u-ok SeaWeed.

Also works b/c Fukuoka is just west of the Kinki province.

The Seattle Blunts!

dunno...he seems more like a Portland hipster type... :dunno:

This is awesome. The Sonics have always been my favorite rival.

I am excited to be able to watch the Blazers now in Seattle a couple of times a year. The rivalry was never really that good because the teams were rarely good at the same time. But, I will love to watch that first game against the Blazers. Also, the first time the Thunder come to Key Arena could be interesting.

This is the only way the division would make any sense - so it won't happen.

Twitter is blowing up now with the Maloofs rejecting the deal.

Seattle fans are the real victims. They suffered through Clay tanking the team intentionally before he ultimately moved them. Now they get an awful new squad and will likely get stuck with the tab for building a new arena.
