OT: Willie, Won’t He

I guess you better hope that you're going to stay at the next job for a long time, because short hopping from job to job makes you look unreliable and disloyal.

Mike Riley says hello.

I'm sure there a thousands of fans who have invested their hope in your employment decisions. Etiquette is not cheating on your girlfriend or wife because a pretty girl shows interest, even if that is what you want to do and even if she is your dream girl.
So should Oregon never fire Taggart either?

I saw him at pdx coming back from Florida.

What Taggart hasn't said speaks a lot louder than that tweet.

He's gone.

Next coach up.

Trollin' trollin' trollin', SlyPoker is trollin', trollin' all the fans of the Ducks..

It's S2 that he's using, no link makes it confusin, to put more fun and laughter in his life..

It's a decent bowl game for a propped up season...Boise State should make a game of it

Taggart doesn't strike me as the type to recruit hard a bunch of guys only to unfulfill his end of the bargain.

That's exactly what he WANTS you to think!

If he were for sure staying, he would have already held a press conference saying so, and he'd be on the phone with every recruit telling them that himself.

The fact he hasn't done that can only mean one thing: If they make the offer, he's gone.

And supposedly he's their leading candidate.

I don't get how Oregon, with all it's money, facilities and recent success is still a damn stepping stone job.

Get someone who wants to be at Oregon...other than Helfrich
IMO a big part of Helfrich's downfall was Admin not being willing to ante up for an established DC. Neither Pellum or Hoke had ever been one before and they took significantly less then the going Pac 12 rate. They got what they paid for.

FSU is reportedly going to offer significantly more for their next Head Coach then what Oregon just extended Taggart and thats without factoring in Florida's lower tax rates. Thinking about this begs the question, does Oregon really have the revenue of the biggest programs or do they need to do it somewhat with smoke and mirrors to compete. Yes I know that Uncle Phil buys the buildings and barber chairs, but if I'm not mistaken, revenue from the gate & merchandise pays the coach's salaries.

There has to be a way around it, like maybe he can sign our extension AND PK signs Willie to a Nike exclusive deal worth like 2 mil a year? Nike then releases the Willie Max Pumps, the official coaching shoe of Nike lol

Hilarious we're playing Boise State because their coach is rumored to be the one Ducks want if Willie leaves.

FSU is his dream job so I can't blame the guy...

Just stay or leave. I'm over this shit. Bring in someone who wants to be here.
It's been all of what, 3 days?

I'm choosing to look at it as: if he leaves, better now than later. If he stays, then I won't have any worries about him leaving for any other open jobs in the future (NFL excluded).

I wonder how many commits he'll take with him?

That’s the biggest question. I don’t think there’s any problem getting another coach who is at least Taggart’s equal when it comes to coaching the game, but Taggart is one heck of a recruiter. If he pulls a bunch of those commits off to Florida with him, that’s going to set the Ducks back in a big way.
