Just come to a fucking conclusion so you can continue to bilk people out of money.

Alright, this rollercoaster is getting out of hand. I'm with Sly, where's the NCAA?

The ACC and PAC could actually be pretty cool. Coast to Coast and it could be argued they match up pretty well top to bottom, at least for football. Idk, sounds like a pipe dream.

It feels like UO and UW are just trying to leverage the big 10 into more money.

there could be some of that going on, but I think the roller-coaster of leaks is coming from two directions:

1) the schools desperate to keep the PAC together (mainly OSU and WSU, and perhaps Utah) & the ASU president, and others like him, have been talking on the down low to reporters and bloggers all night trying to monkey-wrench Arizona/ASU to Big-12, and more importantly, UofO/UofW to BIG

2) ESPN (notice how many of these supposed 'rumors are coming from ESPN affiliated reporters) because ESPN is desperate to keep FOX from controlling 2/3 of Power-5 media

this also could boil down to one primary factor: the BIG was trying to get Oregon/Washington at way too big a discount. Those two schools aren't Rutgers or Maryland; they have media gravity and impact

That's what it feels like. They made an initial offer (unofficially) and UO and UW were like "nah.... we're going to go somewhere else." It's like we're trying to buy a car.

Good. Then ESPN should come to the table with a deal to supplement the Apple deal to the tune of about an additional $20 million per team, per year. ESPN can air any games it wants but they'll all also be available on Apple streaming.

Time to update the thread title with 7...6...5...4... ?
