Thien Hong's. Sandy Blvd. Order the pepper salted squid. You're welcome. You will never order calamari ever again once you've had the best squid there is. Every time I go to a restaurant and I see calamari on the menu or see people ordering it, I just shake my head and think to myself, "if they only knew what they were missing." At this place, I don't think I've ever seen people doing that DON'T have a plate of this incredible dish on their table. Also, you will see that many customers are Asian and that always speaks volumes.

The family that owns this place is a marriage of Chinese and Viet Namese cuisines and heritage and they have a very expansive menu. The honey walnut shrimp is also almost as mouth-watering as my wife , so try that, too. (The shrimp!). General Tso's chicken and all the staples are fantastic, too.

I can't do Panda Excress (read: expressed excrement) anymore. It's especially gone downhill since it's inception.

It's like if you only ever had Cool Whip your whole life and then one night for dessert your woman treats you to the real deal, the purest and sweetest cream. Serve it up, baby, serve it up!

It is not rubbery there. That's the whole point. And don't call it calamari. Yes, take her there and try some yourself. I think you will love it.

I think that one flew past ya! :)

I heard panda is no longer and has been substituted for some down under Koala.

Haha, it did not fly past me. I was working/going with it. The absurd concept of eating endangered Pandas. That's why I said bamboo leaves, as they are the primary food of a Panda, yes? Did it fly past YOU?

Ha! It did! I actually thought you were serious about how the squid was cooked.
Good one! Lol

The geniuses at Prime Tap House took the veggies and seasonings of salt & pepper squid and put them on fried chicken, and on their sidewinder fries.

Pro tip - ask for extra vegetables (if , like me, you can't get enough of them. )

Absolutely!
It says you live in Beaverton. Whatever that is. Is there a certain section of this town, city, that you enjoy walking around that has ANY level of culture, that you aren’t surrounded by strip malls? Or Walmarts?

Yes. All of it!

Interesting, but this seems like an advertisement. You associated with that restaurant?

A new lawsuit could disrupt the sale of the Portland Trail Blazers to a group of investors led by businessman Tom Dundon, according to a media report and a source with knowledge of the lawsuit.
The suit, filed Monday in Delaware, seeks to bar the deep-pocketed founders of Panda Express from joining Dundon’s investment group. Earlier this month, the estate of late Blazers owner Paul Allen reached a formal agreement to sell the basketball franchise to a group led by Dundon at a valuation of $4.25 billion.

But this week a rival bidder, RAJ Sports Holding LLC -- the owners of the Portland Thorns and Portland Fire -- fought back. The group, led by siblings Lisa Bhathal Merage and Alex Bhathal, wants to prohibit the founders of Panda Express from being involved in the sale and alleges that Andrew Cherng, Peggy Cherng and a related entity breached a July 24 confidentiality and exclusivity agreement, according to a report by Law360, which first reported the lawsuit.

Yes, it's an advertisement. 50% 0ff if you mention Blazerfan11 when you order.

If that is a serious question, I eat there or get takeout sometimes. I learned about good salt & pepper squid at Thien Hong about 20-25 years ago.
