A new lawsuit could disrupt the sale of the Portland Trail Blazers to a group of investors led by businessman Tom Dundon, according to a media report and a source with knowledge of the lawsuit.
The suit, filed Monday in Delaware, seeks to bar the deep-pocketed founders of Panda Express from joining Dundon’s investment group. Earlier this month, the estate of late Blazers owner Paul Allen reached a formal agreement to sell the basketball franchise to a group led by Dundon at a valuation of $4.25 billion.

But this week a rival bidder, RAJ Sports Holding LLC -- the owners of the Portland Thorns and Portland Fire -- fought back. The group, led by siblings Lisa Bhathal Merage and Alex Bhathal, wants to prohibit the founders of Panda Express from being involved in the sale and alleges that Andrew Cherng, Peggy Cherng and a related entity breached a July 24 confidentiality and exclusivity agreement, according to a report by Law360, which first reported the lawsuit.
Please in English.

Even if Panda Express is out, there will be a lot of people looking to be a part of this. Hell, even Phil Knight could jump in.

Dog prediction: RAJ Sports Holding will get a 5% taste of the team, and this will all go away.
Sly, what is this? What are they suing over. Our new WNBA owners are suing?

The report appears to suggest that to be the case

Sounds like something to do with July 24 confidentiality and exclusivity agreement, who everyone understands

Yes, it's an advertisement. 50% 0ff if you mention Blazerfan11 when you order.

If that is a serious question, I eat there or get takeout sometimes. I learned about good salt & pepper squid at Thien Hong about 20-25 years ago.

Hey, it's all good. It was just the map image and multiple locations that made me wonder, haha. I hear ya, there are places I love so much, I can see kinda plugging them online, too. I get asked in person what restaurants I recommend and have some favs I always share.

That's cool. I think my first time at Thien Hong's was somewhere around '94 or so. It's my older brother's discovery and been a major fan ever since.

The owners of the Fire/Thorns, RAJ Sports were leading another group trying to buy the Blazers. The owners of Panda Express were originally part of that group and that offer.

The Blazers turned them down and chose the group headed by Tom Dundon. The owners of Panda Express jumped ship and joined the winning group.

RAJ is suing the owners of Panda Express stating that they had signed an agreement to be exclusively part of their group/bid and thus cannot be part of the winning groups bid.

Not sure if they are trying to topple the winning group (If they even can) to get another chance or are just jelly and want a piece of the pie themselves.

yeah, that sure sounds like what has happened

this could go away pretty fast, if the Cherngs just walk away....or monkey-wrench the sale for months if the Cherngs decide to fight
