I just can't wrap my head around what the hell Stotts was thinking those last two plays.

Lol. They sold out on him. If other guys hit shots and Dame gets a game called fairly, he shoots above 40% and has something like 22 and 12.

Poor execution in the last minute. CJ with the steal then he does two cardinal sins of ball handling on the fast break when he pulls up his dribble and then jumps in the air and creates a T.O. down one. Then Dame has a pull up 8 footer down one and tries to create a foul and jumps into a defender who simply moves and he airs it. The last two inbound plays were just head scratchers especially going for 2 with 9 seconds down 3. A lot has to go right for that to work...and it didn't.

Not really, if you take away the best two players from GS they aren't going to destroy you, same with any other team you can think of. Now if your saying other teams wouldn't let their two stars be taken out thats a different thing altogether.
 
I'd rather have an experimental AI robot as our coach than Stotts. At least the robot could do simple math.

Down 3 +10 seconds left + 0 timeouts = Shoot a fucking 3.

And at least we cod program him to not ever allow Meyers Leonard to see the floor.
 
The Pels just have to win their home games now, so a high chance they win in 6 now. We have to take home back for a shot at a game 7.
 
First mistake was trying to run the offense through Evan turner. Then playing Baldwin where he let jrue holiday shit on him for a couple minutes. Not realizing nurkic shouldn’t be on Anthony Davis. Would rather have Ed Davis start on Antony Davis. Dame and cj played horribly. Aminu hesitated quite a bit tonight. Surprise, their defensive scheme was all about dame. Apparently stotts has no work around for this ever in the last few years. We turned the ball over a bunch. That cj turnover at the end was crucial, don’t know why he didn’t slow the fuck down, instead panicked and picked up the dribble, threw it no where. Then the same play, twice to Meyers and then pat for who the fuck knows why when I would rather dame pull up from 30 for three.

The signals are clear, the Pelicans came out and played Dame as the stats indicate. Put the Blazers in the hole from the get go.
It is on Stotts for not knowing this shit.

There’s players where a game plan doesn’t matter because they can will always get theirs, there’s team where their roster can handle making up for their stars poor performance, and then there’s a lot of teams like us. Is what I’m saying.

He let the game get out of hand way too EARLY by not calling a time out. Even my eleven year saw it happening. ELEVEN YEARS OLD!
