The ol' Rope a dope. I love it. Get 'em nice and cocky so they're left reeling after Nurk drops 30-20 on them. It'll setup the backdoor sweep perfectly. Well played, Stotts. Well played.

Very few teams have come back from 0-2 but the Blazers have done it twice!

YES

Game 1 of ThunderSpurs in the second round last year! Spurs led by as much as 40 points! How did Thunder respond? They won 7 of their next 9 games to get within one win of the NBA Finals!

Not sure about responding, because most of our players didn't even look upset being smashed. There was disappointment maybe, maybe they were sad...

I didn't see whole game. Was anyone angry at any point of the game? Coach? Dame? CJ? (Because I don't have any hope for rest of our players)

Well we were a sub .500 team when we had 2 centers on the team(Ed Davis/Plumlee), one of which wasn't that bad, now we have 0 centers and it shows. Wasn't a fun game to watch, we looked out of it and like we didn't care but without a big we can't even stop two guys who aren't very good, one of which was almost out of the league for good in McGee.

thMILYOHMG.jpgGame 2 results::::::::::::::::: The warriors' fans mock us!!!

thNJ0Q35S5.jpg The way the team played disgusted me...........especially when we were stuck at 52!

Fuck KD man. What competition is there? They're gonna breeze to a championship without breaking a sweat

Those 10 seconds made all the difference in the game.
Thanks for clarifying this. I thought the shot clock went quite quick on that possession. I was like no passes at all, but it didn't feel like Lillard had the ball that long yet the shot clock almost ran out.

How much do we need Jusuf Nurkic on a scale of 1 to Javale McGee having a dunk party?

Not only were we missing Nurk, but this team is missing the guy we traded for him. Not that we can have both, just that last season in the playoffs we had at least one starting caliber center.

Do you guys seriously have hope for Noah?

Outside of that one bit stretch in March, he has been trash. He's getting absolutely exposed by GS. I don't think he's much better than Meyers.

I don't get why Olshey neglected the front court to this extent.
It was obvious Meyers and Davis had to go, just get rid of them and sign D-League guys, waived guys ,SOMETHING.

Not sure when I've seen a 7'er be less capable than what Meyers has become. To have any chance of a contribution, the one guy he could maybe play against is Pachulia but Stotts doesn't set the rotation that way so then he comes in when the Warriors are small and that doesn't work at all be cause he couldn't post up Vern Troyer.

Not that Meyers is doing anything at all but Stotts has to put him in where he has the most opportunity to succeed and that isn't happening. It's all down hill from there.

I don't know why (since it was the same lineup as previously) but when I saw Harkless,Turner and Vonleh in our starting lineup, I thought, this is not gonna be good. The first few minutes confirmed this as I have rarely seen a game go way too fast for a guy as it went for Vonleh. I didn't get too optimistic as we almost pulled even because I felt it was almost entirely due to Aminu and I knew he was not going to be playing the entire game. That's my take, ugly as it is.

Vonleh is playing out of position as a 21 year old against the best team in the league. The chance of success was always going to be small. The switching/P&R that are required against a team like the Warriors is something few can do successfully. Add in the age and position and it's even more tough. I just don't get why Stotts doesn't start Meyers (bad as he is) against Pachulia with Vonleh against Green. Not that it will work but at least they are matched up more to the types of players they are. Then your rotation is more set to go small.

Losing to the Warriors was going to happen with Nurk too. Maybe not by 29, maybe not in 4 or 5, but we weren't shocking the basketball world and winning the series

Notice how he was suspiciously left out of that post? since we have no idea what would or could happen. I never said we'd beat the warriors but the idea that going to the playoffs with a mortally flawed roster and getting swept is somehow a better outcome than a chance at a top 10 player in a loaded draft is taking a big ol chug the jonestown koolaid neil is serving up.

....and he just shot himself to avoid it.

@chzbrgr
I don't have a problem with people taking the position that having a chance at a top player in the draft is better than getting swept by the Warriors...if they'll be honest about what they're saying. Let's say that the Blazers had lost out to the Nuggets and ended up with their position as the 13th pick going into this year's draft lottery. The 13th pick has .6% chance of getting 1st pick, .7% chance of No. 2, and .9% chance of getting the 3rd pick. They have a 96% chance of staying at the 13th pick and a 1.8% chance of getting shoved down to the 14th pick. So, there's a 97.8% chance that the Nuggets end up no better than 2 picks higher than the Blazers best pick. If Olshey wants to move up a few slots in the draft, he has the assets to do that from where he sits now with the No. 15, 20 and 26 picks. The only way your scenario works out better for the Blazers is the 2.2% chance that they'd luck into a top-3 pick.
