So is Hubie, to be honest. I love listening to his breakdowns. I have for decades.
See..for me Hubie is annoying.
"So what we have here...." on every single point..everything is "what we have here"
Hubie has probably forgotten more hoop than the other analysts know, he is smart though, and I can see why some like him.
Doris is great and it seems like the players really like her. I know one thing, she loves Dame and CJ.
I saw a post where someone said she slights the Blazers. I think the exact opposite she favors them.

So TPFKATHCP has been down with the FLU since about mid-day Wednesday. So I actually didn't watch game #2 until late last night. I watched Game #1 LIVE and we lost. Only other game we didn't broadcast and I watched LIVE on TV we lost as well. Thinking I might just record this one and watch it late tonight when things are all said and done. Not wanting to get my JINXSpeed on!
Willing to take one for the team if it means we get the W!

Your sacrifice is appreciated

So why don't we get any local broadcast at all? I would think we should be able to get it for home games at least?

I did not dis him but that thread had plenty of disappointed posters.
It's a weird reaction some posters have? They are literally pissed off the team is doing well because they are all-in on Stotts must go! Fact is Stotts has always been good and his record shows that. He has constantly overachieved and he has done it through a complete rebuild.
The Blazers have been blessed to have him as their head coach.
The further and longer this team continues this year and next will cement his legacy here for years to come.

There's a lot to be said for continuity.

I've been a bit critical of Stotts in the past, mostly concerning his utter lack of in-game adjustments, late game (lack of) play calls, and his sometimes bizarro lineup tinkering. I also have faulted him for leaning too hard on Dame and giving CJ free rein (I've never written "free rein" before and just realized it's an equestrian idiom. Neat.).

BUT Stotts has been savvy in these playoffs with game-to-game adjustments, as well as in-game experiments. He's been patient and decisive and has exploited any hint of an available advantage. I've seen swarming defense (!!!) and double teams! What in the actual hell?!! I'm proud of coach. I think he's raised his game for the playoffs.

Plus there must be a reason his coaches are getting looks from other teams

The playoffs have been erratic. There is a lack of consistency primarily due to fg&3pt %.
Sixers, Bucks & Blazers all win game two and take HCA.
I think its easier now to win away from home because the game is so swayed by fg%.
It's VERY difficult to win in Denver. It's a normal game in the first 36-40 minutes, but the last quarter or eight minutes the legs just go. It forces opponents to go deeper in their rotation and takes a toll psychologically.

The problem is you never have time to acclimatize yourself. It takes a few weeks for your blood to be able to handle the increased oxygen required to live at a mile high.

My point is that now we've stolen one here, we can't give it up in Portland. We're unlikely to win two in Denver. SA surprisingly didn't take advantage when they jumped on Denver in Game 1. It took Denver seven games, but they won the series. Don't give them life. Games 3 and 4 are the key. We win both, we likely win the series.

Exactly this.

Huh?

Hes coaching better than ever. If thats going to be a regular thing, then hes improved. I wanted him fired because of the things he refused to do that he's doing now. I wanted him fired because he didnt properly prepare for things hes properly prepard for this year. After a very poor Game 1, he made the most adjustments I've ever seen him make defensively.

If he regresses back to how he was before, we'll be back to square one. If not, then there wont be the same reactions from people like me.

Exactly. This is not the same coach we saw in the 2018 play-offs. This isn't the same coach we saw for much of this season. I give him all due credit for what he is doing now, but that doesn't mean that past criticisms were wrong.

Maybe deserves its own thread, but Jason Kidd just inducted into Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame and was asked about all the great Oakland point guards. Said Dame best of all of them. Said no one really paying attention to the Blazers but he thinks they can win the title.

FYI

So they can beat the Warriors 4 times in a series ? Ok Jason

Could not have said it better myself. Kudos. We can’t mess up a good thing like stealing one in Denver. Absolutely have to be the great home team that we have been all year as well as thru out the playoffs. Anyone going to the Blazer game tonight needs to be stupid loud and disturb Denver as much as you possibly can from a seat. We NEED Game 3 and 4 if we want a comfortable series victory.

Wade Garrett was continually good.

Okay. I can understand why that seems unlikely. But remember. The Warriors have no answer for a scoring big like Kanter. Steph just dislocated his finger and is also nursing a bad ankle. Draymond i think has 3 T's already and i highly doubt he goes the rest of that series without another or even two?
All it takes is the Rockets pushing that series to 7 games and making it tough and the Blazers (If they can get by the Nuggets at all) have a punchers chance to win a game on the road.
Heck there isn't even a guarantee the Warriors beat the Rockets at this point.

Alot of people mistake reign for rein

My daughters got all the good luck gear on :)
