Ohio Republicans attempt to end run around democracy by changing threshold for passing citizen initiative from majority to 60 percent went down to defeat resoundingly yesterday. Republican secretary of state, who is challenging Sherrod Brown's Senate seat, lamented all the horrible things that could now be voted on. Not only legal abortion but raising minimum wage and gun safety! Oh the horror!
Simple fact, most voters like those things.
Florida didn't bother with ballot measure. They simply decreed citizen initiative needs 60 percent to pass. Mississippi voted to ban citizen initiatives to legalize abortion.

Fucking basement dwelling nerds! No parenting, no discipline coming up. Was never taught how to interact with other humans face to face. It’s very easy to be a lazy parent. Just glad he didn’t take anybody with him.

Ouch, man.

Loneliness, suicide, and depression are very real problems that are getting worse. What's the mental health care like in your family's health insurance policy? Most cover a couple of counseling sessions and drugs. And that's if they have coverage at all.

Talked about this on here before. Had 3 very intimate suicides happen in my life. I feel NO pity for that issue or anyone who chooses that route. None whatsoever. The only victims in that scenario are the family and friends left behind that have to re-live the tragedy every day for the rest of their lives.

Though i agree with the overall sentiment “toughen the fuck up or you dont get my pity”

The problem, to me, is largely social media addiction with little parental guidance/education.
my 18 yr old nephew, all he could talk about while staying with me was headline news about a bunch of things that have zero effect on his life. Yet he allows his mind to be obsessed with these things, which controls his emotions. Unfortunately media likes to promote mainly negative things.
Kids are bombarded with negativity and without quality parental guidance/supervision like what you have provided for yours, tends to leave a sense of hopelessness in many. Its a very sad and growing issue. Moving will not solve it.
acknowledging and increasing education/ support for those trying to kick the social media addiction is how we help the average citizen improve their mental health.
More and more people live thier emotions through what they read on their phone instead of their actual physical surroundings.
Its extremely concerning to me.

There is no rest for many youngsters & adults from social media addiction.
 
Barack Obama was born in Hawaii and they still say he isn't a citizen. Guess California is also a foreign country.

Thank you! I couldn't find anybody born in Kenya, so I was was just hoping it wasn't another "Obama birth certificate" situation... but it seems it's not far off.
