According to Advocacy to Alleviate Homelessness, it would cost just over $20 billion to end the crisis. In isolation, this amount seems like a lot, but let’s look at how the Biden administration has spent money.

$43 billion on military aid alone to Ukraine (this omits billions of dollars in financial aid, food aid, logistics, etc.)

$10 billion on federal stimulus to bolster already militarized police

$80 billion on public prisons and jails

The money spent on policing and prisons is worth taking particular notice of, as homelessness itself is treated as a crime.

America easily has $20 billion to end homeless in our country. They could have actually prevented homeless in the first place. Yet Biden won't lift a finger to get the job done. He clearly doesn't care about the problem, and neither does the entirety of the democrat party.

Facts like these are why I will never ever believe... a democrat or a republican.

Why would they spend $20 billion on solving the homeless crisis when the homeless crisis gives them an excuse to spend $90 billion on their favorite pork barrel, AND has the added bonus that you get to campaign on being "Tough On Crime"?
 
Here's a real winning issue! Michigan Republicans want to end paid family leave, which enables workers to care for a new baby or sick family member.
Because they are so pro life.

Here's my concern. When we ignored the asses and took the high road for a few decades we were given Trump and MAGA. Which has eroded the rights of women and minorities an unimaginable amount.

And I believe we lucked out to have only given up that much...

We have to do something different.
 
A waitress in a South Dakota Denny's refused to serve to Black long haul truck drivers. Insisted they leave the restaurant for crime of trying to eat breakfast while Black.

The waitress was fired. Will she say it is her sincerely held religious beliefs that she should not be forced to serve Black people?

No idea. This is the problem with fascism running rampant in a democratic society. We don't have all of the answers at this point. As things are going, I think the natural progression is for MAGA to eventually become an insurgent style group of terrorists, and that is if they don't somehow seize power.

What if the mob had found congress on Jan 6th?

The mob was literally right outside the door congress members were hiding behind, when a police officer literally used himself as bait and lured them away from the door.

Some congress members would have almost certainly been killed.

That's pretty dystopian, IMO.

They were literally pounding on the outside of the door hunting for congress with makeshift weapons and zip ties for taking hostages...

The mob was literally a few feet and one incredibly brave police officer away from finding congress...

Don't you think that's an unacceptable risk?

How do know that everyone involved on Jan 6th, from protesters, to cops, to senators, even Trump and Pence, weren't really Antifa?

And I'm not just looking back at the past, I'm using it as a frame of reference for the future. How do you think MAGA world will react if/when Trump and his cronies are found guilty and sentenced, or if/when Trump is disqualified from ballots, or if/when he cries about another electoral loss? I see their past actions and can extrapolate that we will see violence, massive legislative obstruction, etc. I don't see a way MAGA, who are completely brainwashed at this point, does not become an Al Qaeda-style insurgent group.
