That isn't what I said. Are blacks the only minority? I attribute this to females too. They have a greater need for doctors and health care ( understandably) and i'm sure would prefer it paid for.

I mean Id like my health care paid for too, but not if you are paying for it for me. I want and take PRIDE in being able to fend for myself. Be independent and not at the mercy of those that can provide for me.

I never said Blacks want free shit any more than I said my sister wants free shit. Again, I said minorities and you equate that to Blacks and that is not an accurate or correct assessment.

Well, we don't really know what the hell happen, but I don't think old Earl could actually make the call.
I sort of get the impression the fellow got himself into a criminal trespass situations by not identifying himself as a paying guest with a room number. But not sure since we did not hear those conversations. I think it takes management to escalate to the criminal trespass level and perhaps once they do, they do not back down.

I really doubt a rent a cop and a desk clerk are normally empowered to run off a paying costumer of any color.

I don't know what happened. Neither does anyone but those involved. Security footage won't prove anything without audio so who's to say?

Another poster suggested that slavery wasn't as bad as genocide. I was pointing out that through-out history the 2 are usually indistinguishable. Do you disagree?

If someone says torturing and raping and killing someone is worse than torturing and raping someone and letting them go do you think they're making it seem like torture and rape are fine if you don't kill them?

The whole thing started because years ago he said that American slavery was our holocaust, and I disagreed because I think that genocide is the worst act that man can commit.

The planned wiping out of an entire race is in it's own class, in my opinion. Agree or disagree, that's just my opinion.

Given the obvious completely pathetic failure of the Dems to responsibly manage tax revenues and/or do anything good for Americans in recent history, this does not bode well for women and minorities ever achieving equality in government service.

It adds strength to an argument that they are not intelligent or honest enough to faithfully represent the citizens who pay their salaries.

My grandfather was actually born during the Civil War. My grandmother had no love for Black-Americans at all. Don't know his beliefs on the subject because he died before I was born.
I also accept no guilt for what my forefathers may have done or not done, it wasn't me. However, I do believe in helping people out of a hole that was the result of something my forefathers did a long time ago. The sooner these folks can get more productive and advance civilization more rapidly and pay more taxes the better it is for me and my descendants. I look at it as a win-win situation.

umm, My oldest Grand father was born much later. 1872 I think. Since I am probably a generation older than you,

But when you say pay for your own healthcare.... You would be. Why wouldn't you trade maybe $500-600 more in taxes to eliminate your premium completely, take out a middle man that should've never been there in the first place, and help cover everyone on the country?

Wee would literally cut ALL of our healthcare costs by over a third.

I honestly dont believe those numbers OR the numbers the right throws together when they’re argueing for a second. I think the full extent of having government ran healthcare is something they wouldnt really know for like 5-10 years AFTER it was put in place.

That being said the amalgamation of healthcare, insurances, pharmaceuticals doctors offices and hospitals that we have here is a travesty. So Id be willing to give the government care thing a go, because Im not sure it could get worse. What scares me though is everytime I think that it cant get worse, America votes...

Of course I've said in this very forum:

"Blacks get told to stop whining when we bring up slavery."

"You don't hear Jews get that said to them regarding the holocaust"

I'm ONLY comparing them in a sense that they are both horrible human tragedies that we ACTUALLY FIXED. That's it. Not saying one is worse than the other.

And that is met with "hey the holocaust is worse" so basically AGAIN, "quit whining".

Why? Isn't everything cheaper when you take the middleman out?

Other countries do it. As a matter of fact EVERY country in the OEC nations guarantees their citizens healthcare at at least HALF of what we pay per person in the US.

We can do it too but big Pharma and big insurance have made healthcare for profit in this country.
