OT Portland hotel calls cops on black guest in lobby

Why? Isn't everything cheaper when you take the middleman out?

Other countries do it. As a matter of fact EVERY country in the OEC nations guarantees their citizens healthcare at at least HALF of what we pay per person in the US.

We can do it too but big Pharma and big insurance have made healthcare for profit in this country.
Because the same politicians who have been in the pocket books of big insurance and big healthcare would also be the ones I'd have to trust to not make themselves rich off of government ran healthcare.

Like I said there are pro's and cons to government ran healthcare. I lived in Canada for a while and healthcare there wasn't exactly "perfect" either. I think government healthcare could work, I just think the costs associated with it we wouldn't really know for a while that's all I'm saying.

Do research.

Name one Republican that refused PAC money. I'll wait.

I can name 10 Democrats off top.

Who the Hell said perfect? Not me...

It's better than ours because EVERYONE has access.

Did I say you said perfect?

You said (I've been comparing our healthcare system to one like Canada's) Canada's system isn't perfect.

I'm not asking for perfection. That's silly.

I'm asking for universal access.

That's such a non response to me... I didn't say if it was republicans or democrats. I said the people in power now have already proved their more than willing to use health care to make money. Those people will still be there...

And I said I'd be in favor of trying government healthcare...

Wel he said he put me on ignore and said ive made his time here unentertaining and hasnt been back since...
:dunno:
This coincide with the recent epileptic stuff about Pelosi? He got PISSED
Look.... What I'm saying is... Why compare them at all?

Of course I've said in this very forum:

"Blacks get told to stop whining when we bring up slavery."

"You don't hear Jews get that said to them regarding the holocaust"

I'm ONLY comparing them in a sense that they are both horrible human tragedies that we ACTUALLY FIXED. That's it. Not saying one is worse than the other.

And that is met with "hey the holocaust is worse" so basically AGAIN, "quit whining".

You tell me whether or not that's bullshit.

Because a reasonable post it was not.
It was a reasonable post by a guy who didn't bring it up.

An opinion that seemed based on facts.

There is no parsing slavery of any kind. Comparing our brand to another country's brand (when I'm only ever talking about AMERICAN slavery) is weird to me.

And you still didn't address what I said about the holocaust comparison.

That's fair. of

But when you say pay for your own healthcare.... You would be. Why wouldn't you trade maybe $500-600 more in taxes to eliminate your premium completely, take out a middle man that should've never been there in the first place, and help cover everyone on the country?

Wee would literally cut ALL of our healthcare costs by over a third.

Id like to see numbers otherwise i dont beleive that to be accurate

Are you asking me about people "whining" about the holocaust?

Oh? I didnt really read the polosi stuff. Missed it.
I didn't mean to post that Pelosi stuff. I deleted it earlier and it was saved when I responded to dviss.

I think he said he has a child with epilepsy and got super pissed about Maris I believe it was making fun of Pelosi. Something like that. Was right after the Trump Schumer Pelosi photo op.

Maybe Maris61 can start a GoFundMe for them.

They're guaranteed to rake in full retirements in their upcoming lawsuits for unjustified termination and racial discrimination. Plus unemployment in the meantime.

Uh huh.

Your math is hysterical.

Insuring 350 million people on the backs of roughly 35 million taxpayers can't be done at $500 a pop.

Not even at $50,000 a pop.

Neither "got fixed" as the harm cannot be undone, history cannot be rewritten (in reality).

But whining about either one when they were so long ago is extremely non-productive for anyone looking to unite our country.

George Soros and the Deep State find it profitable, and so do our foreign enemies, but no Real American is interested in becoming mired in things gone by.

Good luck with that.

Long ago or not long ago depends on how much residual effect you feel.

Your math is truly insane.
1. The population of the United States is closer to 325 Million;
2. $50 thousand per person? Really? Are you insane?
3. The proposal by dviss was that all working Americans would chip in by paying more taxes not just 30 Million.

Your proposal eliminates many many Americans from getting health insurance. Who would you eliminate? Children? Pregnant women? The poor? The disabled? The dying? Those with modest incomes who have communicable diseases? The elderly? Which classes of Americans are not deserving of health care?

How does his proposal eliminate someone getting healthcare he didnt even propose anything. He just came up with some crazy numbers about how much it will cost to do universal healthcare. There was nothing in there about keeping healthcare from anyone.

That's the obvious inference from not having universal health care. Another inference is that we would go back to the old system that left an awful lot of people off of any kind of health care other than begging.

He didn't say not to have it though, at least in that post he just said he thought it would cost a whole bunch, I don't think his numbers are anything more than just made up but to start going on about how well he must want some group of people to not have health care seems like your putting words in his mouth.

My math is conservative. 350 million when you count illegals and green cards.

35 million taxpayers who could afford a $500 tax hike.

Most Americans cannot afford a tax hike.

Obamacare tripled the cost of healthcare and resulted in millions of working and/or retired Americans losing their homes and dying for lack of healthcare.

Dviss1 wants to multiply the mistake rather than correct it.

Socialized healthcare only works if you completely eliminate the parasitic healthcare insurance industry first.

Nobody was left off healthcare. You seem to think insurance is healthcare.

It is not.

It is a scam that makes healthcare unaffordable to the masses while stealing from them to keep them poor.

I have double coverage for vision.

I found some eyeglasses I like at a local eyedoctor.

After insurance my cost out of pocket would have been 350 bucks for the frames and high index transition lenses.

Went online, found the frames for 83 bucks instead of 283 (exact numbers) and took them to Sam's club and had lenses put in for 180 including tax.

Submitted my bills to the insurance co HOPING they pay some of it but even if they don't I still come out ahead.

Going to drop the double coverage.
