Yeah your right, I used salary ratio.Some of the numbers seem off but I like the idea.
You are correct. They still need a rim protector and may need to clear some salary for re-engineering? Tatum will cost them a bunch to extend or resign.Yeah ok good luck with that trade. Brown is already resigned btw and Tatum has one more rookie contract year.

Ok, but to say they would never give up Smart, not sure how you would know that?Hayward expires when Tatum is to be extended so they don't need the relief. And they would never give up Smart, not even if we attached our 1st rounder.
The trade you proposed must be the most short-sighted move in Ainge's career. He would never do that.
Agreed. The Celtics would have trouble matching salary for any big player this year. They do need big man help but their targets are likely lower priced guys or other rookie deal types. They'd be a perfect spot for Myles Turner if they had the contracts to make it work.Hayward expires when Tatum is to be extended so they don't need the relief. And they would never give up Smart, not even if we attached our 1st rounder.

Speaking of
Jumping off of this trade suggestion, I had a few modifications.
I heard Casey the other day saying that Nurk has no intention of being "eased back in"--basically that when he's given the OK to go, his plan is to go full bore. Of course we have no idea where Stotts' mindset is on that, or if he'll be physically able to what he plans, but I found it interesting that he's talking that way.Nurk getting eased back in,

well someone's in a creative mood today.I understand that roster size limits and tax concerns probably make this a no-go, but I think this is moderately interesting.

Absolutely hate that trade for Portland.Jumping off of this trade suggestion, I had a few modifications.

Clippers: Harkless + Robinson + '21 2nd Round (Detroit via LAC) -> Iguodala
Clippers get Iguodala (possibly the best player in the trade) for the playoffs, without giving up too much to do so.
Portland: Bazemore + Mario + '20 1st (PDX) -> Harkless + Josh Jackson + Melton + '21 2nd Round (Detroit via LAC) + '22 2nd Rounder (Memphis)
Blazers give up a pick this year (in a poor draft) and 2 bench level players. I think Portland has really missed Harkless' defense on the wing. Blazers also get to kick the tires on a reclamation project and a PG with potential. Also getting two 2nd round picks (in much deeper drafts) are the icing on the cake. Having bird rights to Harkless & Jackson will hopefully make re-signing both to reasonable contracts easier.
Memphis: Iguodala + Josh Jackson + Melton + '22 2nd Rounder (Memphis) -> Bazemore + Mario + Robinson + '20 1st (PDX)
Griz get their 1st for Iguodala. They also get a reasonable prospect in Robinson.
Do you think they're ready to give up on Sexton already?Teams are asking for an asset attached to Love due to his contract
Love and Sexton?

Fair point, but it seems quick to dump Sexton, maybe it's not.Garland is their guy

I think I would rather give up a first round pick in place of one of Little or Simons. Probably rather keep Little. Is Covington worth giving up Zach?I understand that roster size limits and tax concerns probably make this a no-go, but I think this is moderately interesting.

My thought was to fix the lineup for this year without losing Whiteside. In order to hit the salary match threshold, all the listed players had to be included.I think I would rather give up a first round pick in place of one of Little or Simons. Probably rather keep Little. Is Covington worth giving up Zach?
Kyle Kuzma is one of the most overrated players in the NBA (IMO).What do you guys think of Kuzma?
He’s not really fitting in with what the Lakers are doing. I think he’s really talented.
