Give Gardner a handshake and buy him out. Give him the Johnny Damon rubber arm award...

Imho- Sheffield is NOT the answer. The kid doesn't throw beyond 93, and from what I've seen (both in the Minors and short time w/the big boys) he's not the answer, a young CC waiting to happen. Lacks the craftiness, and power to be legit...

Chance Adams/German/Cessa/Lasagna are not the answers either. FK all but Lasagna, give him another yr to sink or swim....
So yeah-
FK Sheffield
FK Adams
FK German
FK Cessa,
give Lasagna another look.... and if he don't pan out then:
FK him too....

Yes, offer Happ 2 yrs, 3rd year buyout option.

Yep, take a hard serious look at Corbin. No he's not the answer, but is a solid #3 guy, or #4 with Happ around. Simply because he's a NL SP doesn't mean diddly squat. Some would argue that much is a bonus.... not my arguement, but he looks fine, looked great before TJ surgery.

Monty will return in August of 019, will take him another yr or 2 beyond that maybe???

Saw a clip of Kay discussing possible deals with the D-Backs. Arizona will be in a rebuild and will probably trade just about anyone.

The guys he talked about were Goldschmidt and Greinke - G+G Boys.

I think Machado seems more likely and like a better fit because of his defense at 3b - but I'll take Goldy. Anytime.

Greinke I would go for as well, they would just have to even out the $$ a little bit.

Don't think yanks touch machado and he runs when he wants hustle with a 10 foot pole. The major free agent they need is harper and his lefty bat and he fits into left field. They will go with torres at ss till didi gets back and not only will be back but yanks love him and will resign him. He is a lefty hitter which they desperately need with power. I think being a position player instead of a pitcher I think we see didi back sometime in june. The free agent pitcher will be corbin as their is a mutual interest here. Right now only lefty bat is hicks and yanks need to find a couple more before next season. Goldschmidt is a very good player but is another righty batter and will cost a lot. Pass. Greinke cannot come anywhere near ny with his anxiety problems.

You are correct sir, in New York Greinke would be a high priced Sonny Gray. Yankees will have to look for a First Baseman, Bird did not work out and Voit is shaky on defense,

^^^^....

Great point-ssss Mel...

Machado's quit lazy out of the box &-A bad influence to the youngsters, another Ca-No-!!

Lefty power, keep DD, Harpers got the pop but has a bigger attitude than Machado & will not be cheap. Gotta extract Gian-K-arlo; send him packing at the Winter Mtgs....
Come home Jim Abbot...

Greinke had his best season in LA, he'd be fine. Especially if he was coming over with two team-mates - Corbin and Goldy.

Cone joined the Yankees at age 32, El Duque at 33. Clemens was the old man at 37 then found out to be on "rocket fuel"

I enjoyed all 3, but the one I enjoyed the most was El Duque.

Also Jimmy Key age 32-35 (as a Yankee).

Never liked Clemens, another arrogant asshole who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Jimmy Key & Cone did well for the Yankees , keep Cone out of the Booth. El-Duque, there was a classic. Went to an Astros Yankees Spring Training game in Kissimmee. I was sitting third base side first row and got a great look at his style, I know the Yankees need to adjust their pitching but I'd sure hate to see them spend millions of dollars for non-producing has been people. No to resigning Biggie as well, if he wants to be the next Bartolo Colon then let that happen elsewhere. Anyone remember those shirts from the mid-eighties: "Winfield, Mattingly, Hendersonect ect, who needs pitching" The Yankee Teams from '84 to '88 had fine position players but no pitching.

Lord I remember that era really well. Somewhere I got an old Sports Illustrated from that time frame, which broke down some crazy ass statistics, which revealed 87% of the Yankees games were won by offense back then. Just like you said.

In Mid-September of 1985 the Blue Jays arrived at Yankee Stadium for a four game series with the Yankees hot on their tail. The Yankees won Game one, I had tickets for games 2 & 3. Unfortunately the Yankees lost those games and game four as well. Jimmy Key pitched a complete game for a win while Righetti shit the bed in relief. Winfield stranded 11runners in that series, Baylor was just as bad. Those were the last games I actually saw at the stadium.

I'm beginning to wonder about Judge. At the beginning of the season he told Machado how good he'd look in Pinstripes. Now he's trying to convince Harper to come to the Yankees. First of all seems like he's jumping the Chain of Command. Harpers value showed itself in his final DC Year. Let the Phillies sign Harper. They won't say what team it is but one huge player with the bucks has already ruled out Manny "Snail" Machado after he showed his ass in the World Series.

^^^^^Please tell me you are imagining this! He will be a “Stanton” from the left side......
He is one of the most obnoxious baseball players ever......yes, Clemens was bad....this guy
is “ s e l f i s h”. Another Yankee zoo.

Don't want Machado anyway.

I don't think we need Harper or Machado.

I'm cool with Happ and Corbin.

Maybe pursue second baseman D.J. LeMahieu and/or a left-handed bat like Michael Brantley.

Then pursue a trade for a stud pitcher like de Grom, Bumgarner, Kluber, etc.

Pitching didn’t get us to the World Series. Pitching must be priority to get there. So what does Trashman
do? He goes after infielders.......and off waivers, no less! Ugh!

White Sox interested in both Machado and Harper.
