Let's say this is the start of the Yi era. I just hope he can sustain this and play this way in the spring.

Yea yi was nice but VC carried the team. This is the first time im watching VC and cheering for him in the regular season lol. He's amazing.

Jarvis-came up huge for the Nets off the bench

mine was a toss up between Yi and Hayes really nice to see them contribute as much as they did. Lopez is right there too i like what i saw from him. VC delivered as usual.

my vote went to Yi

I went with Hayes.

He hit some big shots, every time the Wizards went on a run and the Nets got cold, Jarvis hit a shot.

Vince had a really impressive driving layup where he got fouled in the air and had to twist around to make the layup. It was difficult enough taking the contact but to turn around and make the shot was WOW.

Yi was tremendous. A little foul trouble, as I suspected might be the case, but Frank managed his minutes wisely. His defense and rebounding were nice, considering how he looked much of the time in preseason, and his shooting was AWESOME. What a trade by Rod and Kiki.

Vince was just what he needs to be: measured, versatile, the engine for an inside attack, hard-working defensively, and clutch.

All that said, Hayes was my POTG. His offensive punch and general energy were tremendous. That pair of jumpers off baseline curls were HUGE. It does so much to relieve pressure on Carter and Harris when there's a guy that can do that offensively.

If this is any real indication of his skillset, the Nets are going to be much better off at the SF position than I imagined. Simmons shot wasn't hot tonight. It will be other nights. Depth is a great thing.

I voted for VC, great performance both in his game and as a leader.

Yi played great, nuff said.

Hayes shot the lights out, was all over the court. Did not expect that at all.

Brook, good all around game. Forced some shots, but correct me if im wrong, at least 2 of them were with him getting the ball with like 3 seconds left on the clock. He looks like a clear starter to me.

Anderson, looks like he'll be a good spark off the bench and plays some decent def. as well. Will be a nice player to sub in for Yi.

I voted for VC, he's playing like VC circa '99.

But for the record, I think Yi's gonna mirror Dirks Sophomore stats (17 ppg 7 rpg) this season.

That's Dirk in your sig!

Yi has him in his sights.

VC. He played like a leader out there, hit some important and tough shots down the stretch and proved that his athleticism is still there, even if it's not the same as it once was. Instead of posterizing people from the free throw line he's using his athleticism to get around defenders and hit tough layups. And it's working.

After thinking it over, I have to give it to Vince. He played like a leader today. Attacked the basket, displayed emotion, encouraged the rooks/new guys when they made a mistake, and most importantly, hit some big shots down the stretch to preserve the lead.

vc is the obvious choice. but Yi/Hayes are tied cause they really stepped up and changed the game.

Max, when will you have those Vince Carter highlights up?

heh, i almost missed the game but ill get em up whenever my DVD is full. i use dvd recorder so i have to wait till 1 dvd is full before i upload and edit. 1 hour per dvd. but im sure nba.com will have em soon.

i give it to Yi. Didn't know really what to expect from him. VC played his usual solid game with very nice stats. When VC shoots 50% the nets usually do well. VC got his usual numbers while Yi comming up big with very good shooting.

How about the california boys who are looking like they belong in the nba. Right now i think lopez should start, but keep an eye on Ryan. He will be big this year.

I gave it to Yi on a whim, but I really want to give due to Jarvis "Purple" Hayes

I gave it to Hayes, he came off the bench and sparked a nice run that eventually gave the Nets the lead and the win. I did not expect him to have such a performance.

thanks kiki and rod.

clicked the option in front of the name V i n c e C a t e r.

Welcome to SportsTwo! Nice to have another Chinese fan here. What did you think of Yi vs the Wizards?

If you have any questions please feel free to ask me or any other staff member.

thanks.
in fact, i missed the game, coz it was office hour (about 7:30-9:30 here, watched the recap of the game in youtube after lunch. After get off work, i must download it.
Yi, i agree most comments of you and other guys in this forum.
what i want to say is that he seems to enjoy playing in nets' system.

go nets!
前进,新泽西网队!
