Melo lmao. Dudes usage rate is going to be >30 off the bench. What a nutcase.
 
I really hope this isn't a common theme during the season. This kind of play (and game 2 vs the Kings) kind of shows they're in a lower tier than the Nuggets (let alone the Lakers, Clippers, Celtics, Bucks, Heat)...
 
There is so much raw talent on the bench unit but all that is going to be moot if Melo shoots every single possession.
 
It’s so fucking predictable. Dude drives, moron guard leaves his man in the corner, wide open three pointer.

We a certainly in a lower tier than the team you listed, but that was obvious before the preseason. I think we'll be somewhere around Denver when the regular season ends, assuming we stay healthy.
 
CJ point guard play right there. Dribble ball for 20 seconds and then take a tough shot.

I know it's just a pre-season game, but it's the way they play that is troubling.
 
I hate how easy three pointers are for the blazers opponents.

I understand the frustration. I think things will be better in the regular season.

You know you lost the argument when you're trying to change the subject.

Seems you didn't watch much of the national coverage last season since there was criticism of our coaching on more than one occasion.

Your arguments come across completely disingenuous when you haven't even considered that coaching might be the issue after Olshey got him a bunch of shiny new toys.

Oh, and he just preached his reluctance repeatedly to change any of the defense.

The evidence is no longer mounting up.

I'm looking at the box score. Did Stotts just not watch the first two games, why has Giles played 4 minutes?
 
No one should write this off as a preseason game. We've played our rotation for the most part.

I watched Jamal Murray run down Covington to block a breakaway layup. I watched Melo emotionallyless foul a guy coming the other way when he was standing between the offensive player and the basket.

If this team struggles early, I could see the second most unpopular Blazer team after the Felton-Crawford mess, because when they get down, they don't show a lot of fight and losses become blowouts and snowballs. I don't think that will happen, but I won't be shocked if it does. There's a bit of a negative chemistry/negative vibe I've gotten off this team the last two preseason games. Too early to tell whether it's just preseason or not, but the attitude and effort's been concerning to me.
 
I don’t even know what’s going on anymore..we should have had a clear path or an open dunk and then all of a sudden it’s Denver ball?
 
this is just not enjoyable to watch, even when shots go in.

need to keep reminding myself that it's only preseason
