The Nets are not even getting beat by star players anymore. It's the Eddie House's, Tony Allen's, Nate Robinson's, Wilson Chanlder's, Kareem Rush's, Lous William's, Marreese Speights's, Thadeus Young's, Willie Greene's of the league that are beating the Nets.

Seriously guys what did you expect? This isn't a 40 win team anymore. Might not even be a 30 win team. Nobody said rebuilding was easy, and the East got a lot better this offseason. I'm not saying this team can't get it together sometime in the season and sneak into the playoffs, but the chances of that happening are very slim.

EDIT: Also, instead of looking at the box score and the final result, try to focus on each individual player and see his development as the season goes on. More fun, less painful.

True, but part of the team they're beating is comprised of Julius Hodge, Mo Ager, and Eddie Gill. How many minutes do you think those guys see in a real game? And no Vince after mid third, no Devin after late 3rd.

That's also true, but it also means that other teams will play their star players more when the season starts.

And the starting lineup is supposed to be a weakness for the Nets (Simmons, Yi, Boone/Lopez) while the bench depth and supporting players is supposed to be more of a strength for the Nets this season. Some of them are injured but things aren't looking too bright on that front.

wow ryan anderson got 9 rebounds in 17 minutes... i know its the preseason and the sixers dont have a healthy big guy besides brand, but still... looks impressive in the box score.

if it wasn't for isiah letting chandler rot on the bench all of last year he would be a star by now
