Probably nothing, but maybe pay attention over the next couple of weeks (2 Viewers)

I'd love two picks. Would totally settle on a pick and a swap. Would also settle for a pick and Knecht.

The fillers are irrelevant.

If this Wolves-Knicks trade is…as is, there is nothing more to see here. I will see if I can find out anything

How about this:

Nets get a PG of the future.
Lakers get their guy & backfill the PG & C spots.

Blazers get expiring contracts (except Vando) & picks. Id look to cut Cam & maybe package Thybulle with Brogdonovich for something else

If we trade good players we now have.....

Calling the veterans Portland has "good players'' is the problem. They simply aren't good enough to worry about keeping. And they aren't good enough to propel the Blazers to the playoffs or alter the team's trajectory. However, they are good enough to slot the Blazers with a poor lottery pick. In other words, the most likely outcome with keeping those vets is a bad one

The Nets in a rebuild are not going to give value away for Russell.

100%

It’s really fun to have these hints even when they don’t pan out. Thanks MM.

Well, NY got their center, Minny got better balance. Who are the teams left that may want one of our extra centers? Pelicans. Grid. Who else?

MM, if you may, was your intel that KAT was on the block, Randle was on the block, or both? Assuming this is the deal you were aware of?

okay but that didn't address my question regarding your comment about having draft capital when we are competitive by trading our players now for picks a decade out. If we trade good players we now have for draft capital a decade from now, how will we be competitive at that time as you had suggested?
Wouldnt we need to trade for for current draft capital to draft more lottery players who might then be competitive in 7-10 years?

Im trying to figure how you think we will become competitive within the next decade if we are trading our valued players now for capital a decade from now?
We don't have valued players now. We have marginal players. Otherwise we wouldn't have trouble getting draft picks out of them.

We will become competitive when we draft enough players to have enough talent to be competitive. Which we don't currently have.

If Grant isn't gone by the trade deadline, it's big fail for Cronin. He has no place in our future due to his age. His contract is putting us up against the luxury tax, and we're better off without his services, because this is the wrong year to break the tank.

he's in his 30s and has a contract running for 4 more years at 30M+. While he's a good player he's not exactly a bargain. He's going to have to play some of the best ball of his career if theres going to be much interest by the deadline and if he is thats a catch 22 anti-tank situation. I'd personally love it if they could move him for a salary dump with whatever value coming back in future draft capitol. I don't think that will be a given to be on the table though.

The Cronin fail was (speculating) getting duped by Dame to think he'd stay if his buddy was retained with a massive extension. It made little sense to me at the time of the signing for them to keep him if Lillard was gone.
