I'm praying for a Lundy SO this Wednesday......
 
Dis, in Gm 5 it was an elimination game for us. If the refs don't blow that call the Caps go up 1-0 and we're basically fucked. HUGE break that went our way.
 
Here is why I disagree with you Dis. First like 31 said elmination game, stakes WAY higher in game 5. 2nd I think the play in game 1 was also a coin flip call...AND most importantly we stopped playing after the no call, that is 100% on us.

Both big calls though of course.

Excited...and nervous for game 7.

After seeing Hank, getting that extra day is good for us I think.
 
Right calls are not breaks. Yes he was pushed but he made contact w him multiple times including up high on his shoulder. I'm not saying a goal there isn't a killer I'm saying it was the right call and not even that close. Phantom penalties are breaks that was just the right call

Caps will come out flying, with nothing to lose. The Rangers have to weather the storm, score first and tally a 2nd. And if they learned anything from tonight's game, continue to play hard. Do not let the Caps back in ...
 
I think both were coin flip calls that could have gone either way. Guess that is where we disagree. All good. Onto game 7...:).

It's possible from Washington but I don't buy it because this was the game where you could've said the same thing . After how they lost Game 5 you would think Washington would've come out flying in this one.
 
Yup, both coin flip calls, couldn't agree more. Still not sure why we stopped playing after that non-call. Also that was not an elmination game.

Either way we won...stop bitching about the refs...LOL.
 
What's important is for Montreal to win in Tampa. If the Rangers win, I don't want Tampa to have an extra day of rest.
 
asking someone like Al to stop bitching about the refs is not possible. Sitting next to him at a game must be awful having to hear him yell at the refs all game long. I'd want a refund lol
 
Didn't they fly tonight though Mess? Maybe not right from the start, but they dominated the 2nd and 3rd periods. Attempts 32-0 in the last 15 minutes. Now some of that is due to us being up, but the Caps played their best game of the series tonight IMO. They will try and do it from the start in game 7. The edge we'll have is the crowd should be crazy for us.

I guess it's possible. I mean the Islanders came out for a game against the Caps and took 11 shots.

Caps may not have come out flying, but they sure finished like they had wings ... I think most of it was the Rangers allowing them to get back in the game, but they were flying
 
I LOVE Al, but you are right on this 31. My lord bitch about the refs...enough. Both teams get calls for and against. Sometimes in our favor and sometimes against us. Happens all the time, deal with it. We won let it go man.
 
Nope. they clearly could have won still if Ward's goal was allowed. But I do know that would have been tough considering we couldn't score at that point.

But you know what though...WHO CARES. Let's just stop bitching about the refs and look forward to game 7. For the love of god...
 
Why don't you guys talk about the off season some more....

Lets talk about the "break" we got on the non goal.... But I vet the house if the caps score on that bullshit pp at the end of the game you ALL would have been in revolution mood.

Seriously, Ward does the same thing every time he gets close to Hank. Backs in, makes contact and then falls over flailing his arms. he initiated the contact, and he should have been sitting in the box for 2 minutes
 
It isn't about a break or not a break to me, again coin flip call, my only point is stop bitching about the refs man. You don't stop with it. Enjoy the win man. Stop bitching about the refs for once. Calls even out, how it works. We get a lot of calls also. Welcome to sports.

YES...that's the point. And in almost every series it works out that way for the most part.

Now I do think Ward is a crease crasher, but is he that much different or worse than Kreider if we are being honest? That's my point...eye of the beholder.
 
i just imagine in my mind sitting next to Al at a game and all you hear is "you suck refs!!...that was a penalty!! how did you miss it you idiot!!!.....omg, you're gonna call that on us after you missed the other 3 on the opp team!!! wtf!! you suck refs!!" for 60mins of play. That must be unbearable.
