Hank was friggin godlike. This game probably should have been 6-2 but for him. Our lack of speed on defense particularly boyle, girardi and staal is painfully obvious against any team with size and speed. They just can't physically get the puck out of their end. And Hank who does a masterful job covering up for our inept defense eventually gives one up in the friggin onslaughts he faces.

The one thing that has been off this year has been the overall team speed. Even the guys we know can skate have looked sluggish at times. Hopefully, having Nash back in the flow will improve things.

This team will NOT beat Caps. It is what it is! It doesn't matter if they get out of the first round or not, they will not go past Caps this year. Hopefully starting this summer they will dismantle this team, keep only Hank, Zuc, Brass, Miller, Yandle, McD, McIlrath. That's it! Trade the rest of the team if they can. Rebuild!!!!!

Evgeni Malkin will be sidelined six to eight weeks with an upper-body injury, the Pittsburgh Penguins announced Saturday.

So the Isles are without their # 1 goalie for the remainder of the regular season AND at least the first 3 or 4 games of round 1. AND the Pens are without Malkin for the remainder of the regular season AND I would say at least round 1.

The Rangers will finish in 2nd place IMO, especially if they beat the Pens tomorrow.

They'll most likely play the Isles in round 1 with Halak out for at least part of the series. I think we would beat the Isles. And then we'll be big underdogs against the Caps, but who knows what will happen once they drop the puck if we are fortunate enough to get to the 2nd round.
