Paranormal Activity- 8/10. Pretty fucking scary. Was quite flawed as a movie but it was really intense and makes it very tough to get a good night's sleep after watching it! Go see it bitches!

Yeah freaking agreed... I didn't sleep well so it did its job.
 
I just rent a dvd and watched. I sure did love it! Cars from Pixar & Walt Disney is one great film I can recommend to all. At first I was hesitant to watch it coz it's kinda for an idea of all car cast movie but the story of it is just simply a one great lesson we all should learn. I rate it 9.5/10
 
Green Street Hooligans - I've seen it many times before, but I just saw it again this weekend. 8/10, lost a point for being about West Ham.
 
The Men Who Stare At Goats - 8/10, I loved the movie, had some absolutely hilarious moments in it.

Paranormal Activity - 9/10, the best horror movie since 28 Days Later.

Men who stare at goats had its moments but was generally not very funny IMO. Entertaining but not really a good comedy.

And, as mentioned above, Paranormal Activity is FUCKING SCARY. I'm just getting over it now but my bro wants to see The Fourth Kind which I hear is really good too.
 
I wasn't scared by Paranormal Activity, but can completely understand why some would find it terrifying. I've never heard a full theater shriek in terror at the same time, no less multiple times in one movie.
 
It was far from scary.

It was creepy, but not scary.
 
Felon - 8/10, I really enjoyed it. I believe I haven't seen Val Kilmer fit to a role so perfectly before. (Well he was great in Heat also but...)
 
Bruno -- 7/10 -- some hilariously awkward moments but overall a little less real than Borat and I think it suffers from that inconsistent tone.
 
2012 -- I was too busy getting my dick wet to pay attention to the world's detruction. 10/10 for a happy ending.

Yeah the actor who played 2Pac was just terrible. Especially when him and Biggie gave their first interview together, it was just so fuckin fake. ;D Still, my overall opinion on "Notorious" was that you could make a much better movie with a story like that.
 
I agree the movie could've been made much better, especially with such an epic figure in the rap world. If it was a bigger production, I think it would've been better...but it still surprised me.

I saw "Funny People" overall the movie was okay, like a 7/10, but the best part was Aubrey Plaza, seriously, she needs to be my wife.

Figured I'd start a general thread of movie reviews since most of us own this device to watch movies. Do what you want with it, but i figured general format would be

Movie title - rating out of 10 - short explanation of why you liked it or didn't like it.

I'll start it off...

The Hangover - 9 out of 10: Loved this movie, it was quite hilarious, and i'd highly recommend it to anyone who liked The wedding Crashers or Old School.

Rachel Getting Married - 2/10: This movie was incredibly boring in my opinion...it was so slow.

Obsessed - 5/10: The premise was alright, it just was a little to slow. Parts of it took forever to unfold. And it was to predictable in my opinion.
