you dont want to see a player from your team acting like that, especially after he played like trash and their opponent is fucking them up

Alright. I admit it. I'm an alien from another galaxy. Just what is that exactly, and what exactly am I supposed to infer from whatever that is?

Looks like some humans having a good time???

no...I'm thinking Cam Johnson, who is RFA this summer, needs to sign an extension first. He'd be the best player coming back; and while the return is really poor, IMO, Johnson would have to be part of it. So I'm thinking it would have to be Dec 15 before he could be traded but maybe it's 60 days after he signs

I'd think the teams could just do it as a sign and trade in July?

The only realistic thing in this thread, imho, is Draymond. I don't want him but I could see Cronin going after him. Bridges is simply not realistic.

I had a dream we traded Sharpe and the 2nd overall pick for Bridges. I would fucking puke if that was the basis of a trade.

That, my friend, wasn't a dream. That's what we call a nightmare.

I might be done with the team if they did that. At least until we had new ownership. That would kill any excitement about the team.
Sadly I could see the franchise doing that.

Other possibilities I could see is our lottery pick for DeRozen, yuck. Or trading for Draymond and giving him an extension. Just a lot of bad options out there.

I just hope the franchise doesn't trade away multiple future years of picks unprotected as well. None of these moves will make Portland a contender, gutting the future for such a futile poor attempt to win now would be extremely depressing.

Seeing Sharpe become an all-star for another franchise will be worse than the Jermaine O'Neal trade. At least that roster was 15 minutes from the finals and a legit contender.

for some reason (maybe the last CBA) I was thinking that the salary of a S&T couldn't be aggregated with other salaries in a trade. But I see that's not the case. I don't think the poison pill provision, what is left of it, would apply either

that would still be a damn shitty return for Dame. I'd think the Blazers might do better than that

and I still say "better then that" is Portland becoming a bad team for 2 or 3 or 4 years and having lottery luck. That's the only way they can have a decent shot at landing and elite player.

By the way, and this surprised me, Johnson is already 26 years old. He's got upside for sure, but maybe not as much as I think

I think we'll end the off season with having traded every pick we can (including somehow freeing up future picks by giving the Bulls something guaranteed). I think the result will be a starting lineup of:

Dame, Shae, OG, Jerami and KAT with Matisse, Flynn, TPMLE big and Trendon coming off the bench with 43rd pick, Mays, Jabari, Knox and other young guys fighting for minutes.

Nurk, Keon and a bundle of first rounders for OG and Flynn

Ant, Nas and our first rounder (probably top 4) for KAT

a "bundle" of first rounders for OG? as long as a bundle is 2 first's, both lottery protected...ok. No more than that...he's overrated IMO, especially by Toronto if the reports are true. But at least he has a contract commensurate with his talent

and I don't think there's any way at all Seattle agrees to re-signing Grant AND trading for KAT. By the way, in the two playoff games before tonight KAT had a PER of -0.4; a TS% of .368; a winshare/48 of -0.307; and a BPM of -13.3. Yikes! Do Not Want

I would be the most angry I’ve ever been as a fan if we traded all our future picks for that crap lineup. Absolutely disgusting.

It would be a lot of fun for the preseason and first 5 games of the season until we all start to fully realize the lineup will never contend. Then we just have to wait 7 years to get our picks back.

Sounds pretty realistic for the Jody/Kolde/Cronin 3 headed monster management we are blessed with.

Just trying to keep it real.

Even after firing Nurse, it;s difficult to know what Toronto will do and how unreasonable Ujiri will be in his asks, but here is a toronto writer;s opinion:
"With Nurse gone, the only prominent front-facing figures that remain from that 2019 team are VanVleet, Pascal Siakam and O.G. Anunoby, and their futures are very much uncertain as well. VanVleet will opt out of his contract and join Jakob Poeltl and Gary Trent Jr. as unrestricted free agents this summer. Siakam and Anunoby have been and will continue to be featured in trade speculation. Outside of Scottie Barnes, who is coming off a disappointing follow up to his Rookie of the Year campaign, everybody and everything is on the table as the off-season kicks into high gear ahead of the draft in late June and free agency at the beginning of July.

Ujiri is an executive that has often favoured patience and continuity over big roster shakeups, most recently at the trade deadline. He’s also shown a reluctance to break up the core of VanVleet, Siakam and Anunoby. But without cap space, next season’s first-round pick – which was lightly protected and sent to San Antonio for Poeltl and the deadline – or an obvious path to contention, he may not have a choice but to dismantle a group that he built, developed and believes in. Does he have the heart for it? It’s worth noting that the last time he fired a head coach, Dwane Casey, he followed it up by making his biggest and most callous trade to date, moving loyal solider and beloved franchise icon DeMar DeRozan for Leonard in the name of chasing a title."

Ant/Nas/#5/Future 1 for Bridges/Claxton. Don’t like it but could see it. Then flip Nurk for whatever.

Dame/Sharpe/Bridges/Grant/Claxton

5 seed?

I think they might struggle to rebound but if the bench was right that and Shaedon pops then that team could really compete with anyone. If you're only spending our pick in this draft and a future first that leaves up to three other future firsts to play with to try and bolster our bench, we have two TPEs one is 8.3M and the other is 2.6M, plus we have what would likely be the TPMLE so we aren't hard capped.

I'm hoping for something even cooler, expecting something a little worse so I wouldn't be pissed off with that team.

Nurkic and Claxton and a 3rd string big starts to get you into ‘passable frontcourt’ territory.

Brooklyn says no
What about Ant/Nas/#3? I hate it because I think Brandon Miller will be much better than Bridges eventually but if we are forced to upgrade immediately I think Brooklyn might pull that.

I hope we hit #1 so bad so we aren’t forced into trading the pick or Sharpe.
