Wonder if it will just be a rehash of his latest chat.

Scenarios or actual rumors?

Scenarios. Scenarios are easy for these guys:

"All the Blazers have to do is package some of their players and make a trade for an all-star like Carmelo or Chris Paul. It is pretty easy to do - IF you really (REALLY!) want it. That is the key. You have to want it badly enough.

If they can't get something like that done, you have to wonder, is Paul Allen turning on the team already? Is he going to try to sell the team which will move to Boise - just because he is bored? Is Nate McMillan going to try to take over GM duties if Cho fails to trade for an All-Star who can run his offense?

This is a team Bob that is ready to implode, explode and replode. All it will take is a spark, a match, an ignition. Then, kaploowey! I have talked to some inside sources that tell me that Patty Mills hasn't had a sitdown dinner with LaMarcus Aldridge. When your number 1 offensive option refuses to break bread with the point guard, that is a sign of a team on a death spiral. Trust me. I know having watched the NBA on TV for years!

Another inside source tells me the team is making calls and taking calls. There is talk. Lots of talk...."

I think I heard that interview...LOL...

I thought there was only 1 sports talk radio station in town.

Camby/Miller for Bass/Nelson

And our starting center would be?

Ah, the callers calling in after Ric Bucher was done reminds me why i don't listen to sport's radio.

Everyone on this roster outside of LMA/Batum are available.

Wes is likely on that 'not available' list as well.

1080 has been around forever.... (formerly 910)

95.5 has only been around.... what..... three years?

And you call yourself old school. They used to have Mychael Thompson and Kevin Duckworth (I think Duck was on that show).

Mychal Thompson ;)

Good trade IMO

Who the fuck cares who will be our starting center, but did we all forget about Joel? The key is to upgrade this team for the future, and Nelson is a nice young PG

I think I'm with Mediocre Man on this one, and that's something that doesn't happen often. There would have to be some other pieces added to make this work from a cap standpoint, but it could be done. As and example, adding Duhon and Armon Johnson makes the numbers work. Neither Camby nor Miller figure to be part of the Blazers' future past next year, and next season is likely to be lost to a lockout. Nelson is a good fit with the type of team I'd like to see the Blazers build and Bass is a decent PF. For the rest of this season, Joel and LaMarcus would have to share the center spot. After that, hopefully Oden is able to get some healthy time and be part of the equation. Maybe there are better deals out there, and I'm sure Cho is investigating all of them, but I don't think this is an awful idea at all.

didnt anyone catch when eh said something along the lines of..."it is pretty well known around the league that roy wants miller gone and is pissed about it" which is not helping his play at all...i think people know around the league roy is pouting and possibly faking just a little bit. i know his knee are in bad shape..but they were last year to. and dont tell me its because its a different knee cuz im gonna tell you its not. i sit right next to the bench and everygame roy is icing his right knee...anybody notice that? shit i think i just confused myself:tsktsk:

Don't worry about which knee--they're both bad. :(

Yup, I dig that trade too and although it would certainly cost us wins this year it does address two glaring issues 1) Getting decent value for two very old guys who won't be here post lockout and 2) Bass at the very least becomes a nice backup power forward and if the team really does go up tempo from here on out small ball lineups with he and LMA could be pretty effective and if you can get anything out of Greg and/or draft a decent 5 (Enes Kanter comes to mind) then I think you're better off two years than you would be otherwise.

Also a third point: Nelson would actually fit alongside Roy ... but I'd still want to see Roy evolve and maybe make a move to a Manu role on permanent basis.

Nelson pretty much is what he is. I'd prefer someone with a little more upside.

Oh, btw, it was Thompson and Kermit Washington, not Duckworth on the radio show.

An 18+ PER point guard with 14 points and 7 assists this year and a career 38% three point shooter and pretty accurate otherwise, so when you say you prefer somebody with more upside, I assume you're talking about that top tier of young point guards that are almost always completely unavailable.
