Holy hell that was a great game last night! Even if we had lost the game, I would have been fine with the way we played it. That's the best game I've ever seen from LMA - the vast majority of his shots were great. He really looked to play around the basket. If he does that throughout the series then I really like our chances! I still think we have a LONG way to go (no series was won in the first game), but my two biggest concerns were put to rest last night.
With that said, I expect HOU to take away LMA's post-offense next game. They'll probably come with a hard double either the moment he gets the ball, or the moment he puts it on the floor. As long as we have a plan that creates an easy pass-out opportunity for him then hopefully we can get the ball moving for open shots. But hopefully they continue to single-cover him and he continues to pound the ball in the paint!
I suspected Lopez would have a hell of a time with Howard these first two games, and boy was that the case last night. But I'm really looking forward to seeing how that match-up evolves by Game 3/4. Lopez doesn't have good foot speed, but I think he's crafty enough to learn how to jam up Howard once he acclimates himself to the situation.
