None of these guys were born in the U.S., and most are not U.S. citizens, but they all somehow manage to stand on court during the playing of our national anthem.

Amazing. I guess Brandon Roy really is "special."

Well those people better stay on the court. For example, Rudy's people owns the Trailblazers and pay him a large amount of money. Where as Roy's people do not own the Blazers and don't pay him money.

So Rudy owes it to his people, Roy doesn't owe it to his people.

Sheesh. You people need to be more *****rdly with your time.

Jorge Garbajosa and Juan Carlos Navarro stay on the court when they play our national anthem? When did we invade Spain?

Wait...*****rdly gets blocked here? WTF?

You know what would suck . . . if Roy stopped doing this because of peer pressure and then put together a string of bad games.

In a world full of "celebrities" who delight in shoving their views in your face, Roy just wants to quietly stand alone in a tunnel. More people should follow his example!

I don't know if Roy is making a political statement, except insofar as he is NOT making a political statement. That political statement is that I respect those who take the National Anthem seriously.

Clearly, some players take the National Anthem seriously themselves, while I'm sure some are actively disgusted by what it represents. But their attendance during its playing demonstrates respect for the fans who give a hoot.

Roy choosing that time to do his own thing is saying, "I don't care about that." He doesn't need to come out and SAY it, because his actions indicate it.

It's not important to me that he cares about it, and I (personally) think the National Anthem before games is more pomp and circumstance than patriotism, but I also think it's a legit thing for people to discuss and even be critical of him about.

Does it really?

*****rdly.

Edit: weird.

Well, from seeing both your posts, the word "*****rdly" isn't being filtered, but the slang that happens to be be within the word is being filtered. Thus, part of the word is surviving.

Well, the proper spelling of the entire word is not allowed, but an incorrect spelling of the similar-sounding slur component is being filtered out.

Weak sauce.

What's being filtered out is a very common slang, which I think is an appropriate filter. (Remember, the 'r' is NOT being filtered...it's a correctly-spelled slang that is being filtered, not an incorrectly-spelled slur.)

Now, could the filter do a better job of recognizing that an unrelated word that just happens to contain the filtered slang should be left intact? Absolutely.

How is it obvious? How? Please explain what makes it OBVIOUS, other than you hopping right along with Canzano like a damn sheep, and making the worst assumption you can. Why don't you assume what i posted above? That'd be too difficult, when you can instead just KNOW that it is a negative. Pathetic.
It's obvious because Roy doesn't care enough about the anthem to be on the court when the rest of his team is standing there. If he cared, he would be on the court.

Really? People spell the "n-word" with an "a"?

OH! I see. The "r" is intact. I missed that.

OK. Well, that makes more sense. Yes, intra-word filtering could be better, but I understand why it's not.
