he was pointing to his lung area after he fell...breathing hard. hope its not a punctured lung or something like that.
Laker fan here.
I wish Rudy the best. I turned the game off after the second quarter from the butt whipping you guys were giving us, so I didn't see what happened. Regardless, I do not wish injury on anybody. Hopefully Rudy recovers well, and Trevor gets whatever punishment he deserves, if any.
I think he got a stinger from the head blow, and the wind knocked out of him. A 185 pound guy crashing to the hard floor without football pads on has got to hurt. The straight board was probably just a procaution. He's probably going to be very bruised and will probably miss the Dallas game. (just my speculation).
I think he wanted to hurt him in the heat of the moment type of way that happens win you are frustrated that you are getting your ass kicked. I doubt he wanted to injure him, but "hurt".....he swung pretty hard.
That's what I saw too. Trevor was frustrated and he made a really reckless play. He meant to make Rudy hurt (as in ouch) but didn't want to hurt him (as in injury). I almost felt a little sorry for that Laker fan they showed leaving the Rose Garden... I just thought, "Buddy, you probably want take the jersey off and run to your car".
I'm glad we have a few weeks before we see the Lakers again this season. These teams obviously do not like each other and need to go to their respective corners and cool down for a while. I like intensity but I don't want to see a fight/suspension mess up our play off hunt.
Aww poor lakers fans. Cry me a fucking river.
Seriously, I wasn't sure he was going to make it out alive!![]()
You could almost hear the National Geographic guy... "the lions smell blood, as they begin to take down the water buffalo..."

I just watched it on SportsCenter about 15 times. After the foul, Ariza doesn't go near Rudy to see if he was OK and instead immediately starts barking at the Blazers. It was deliberate, and he'll get his in the future, I'm sure.
Watch it again. Ariza sees Rudy on the ground and starts yapping at the Blazer players like a psychopath. He's a punk from this point on.
