he was pointing to his lung area after he fell...breathing hard. hope its not a punctured lung or something like that.

Laker fan here.

I wish Rudy the best. I turned the game off after the second quarter from the butt whipping you guys were giving us, so I didn't see what happened. Regardless, I do not wish injury on anybody. Hopefully Rudy recovers well, and Trevor gets whatever punishment he deserves, if any.

Yea when he went down I thought he just got the wind knocked out of him. Wow, what a downer. Ariza looks pretty stupid, down thirty, commits a dirty foul, and then wants to fight about it?!?

The Lakers are a dirty team and anyone who supports them should be ashamed.

Chest discomfort. Appears OK,

I think he got a stinger from the head blow, and the wind knocked out of him. A 185 pound guy crashing to the hard floor without football pads on has got to hurt. The straight board was probably just a procaution. He's probably going to be very bruised and will probably miss the Dallas game. (just my speculation).

Thanks for your thoughts.

I thought neck injury right away when they said his face was numb but then he started moving his arms. I like your opinion much better!

Whatever it is, he's going to be hurting tomorrow... I don't think there was any intent to hurt Rudy but he fell HARD! I knew it was bad when the camera caught the look on Pau's face.

It was a terrible situation an an unfortunate scene, but it was beautiful to hear the crowd chanting "Rudy Rudy Rudy!" when he was down. That gave me tingles.

I think he wanted to hurt him in the heat of the moment type of way that happens win you are frustrated that you are getting your ass kicked. I doubt he wanted to injure him, but "hurt".....he swung pretty hard.

All I was thinking when Ariza walked off the floor was, someone better throw a beer at that motherfucker.

That's what I saw too. Trevor was frustrated and he made a really reckless play. He meant to make Rudy hurt (as in ouch) but didn't want to hurt him (as in injury). I almost felt a little sorry for that Laker fan they showed leaving the Rose Garden... I just thought, "Buddy, you probably want take the jersey off and run to your car".

I'm glad we have a few weeks before we see the Lakers again this season. These teams obviously do not like each other and need to go to their respective corners and cool down for a while. I like intensity but I don't want to see a fight/suspension mess up our play off hunt.

Aww poor lakers fans. Cry me a fucking river.

Seriously, I wasn't sure he was going to make it out alive!

You could almost hear the National Geographic guy... "the lions smell blood, as they begin to take down the water buffalo..."

The untamed land known as parking garage is no place for a weak Laker fan.

Good. I love seeing those fuckers leave early on the jumbotron. Tail tucked between their legs after their stupid bits of shit talking. Always end up leaving with 2 - 3 minutes left. HAHAHA. Fuck 'em.

I just watched it on SportsCenter about 15 times. After the foul, Ariza doesn't go near Rudy to see if he was OK and instead immediately starts barking at the Blazers. It was deliberate, and he'll get his in the future, I'm sure.

Watch it again. Ariza sees Rudy on the ground and starts yapping at the Blazer players like a psychopath. He's a punk from this point on.

that's why I didn't leave until the game ended on opening night...didn't want to look like a straight up beeyotch.

A lady next to me got a text from the hospital saying Rudy had feeling in his arm again last I heard.

That's what Roy said in the intereviews after the game. Ariza was being a douchebag. Roy headed into his direction and Ariza started trash-talking before Roy said a word.

Sounds like Rudy is gonna be okay, based on what they just said on the 5th Quarter show.

His reaction is what made Brandon get so mad. I'm glad Roy won't be suspended but I would've enjoyed seeing him deck Ariza. Or Odom if he's not available.

My bet is a rib or sternum injury. I would not be surprised to see him out for the rest of the year. This sucks, and that was a total BS play. The NBA needs a new rule where if you hurt a guy on a flagrant II you have to sit out until he comes back.
