I think memphis traded their 2013 to Minnesota

I know the Celtics are saying (Rajon) Rondo isn’t going anywhere. But there are two problems with that. (1) It doesn’t jibe with what a number of NBA GMs are saying based on conversations they’ve had with Celtics president Danny Ainge. (2) Ainge isn’t stupid. He doesn’t want to trade Rondo, but Rondo is the best chip he has to play right now.

If Ainge waits and does nothing, the Celtics will be a middling lottery team without much hope next season — in the same spot where Ainge inherited them a few years ago. He doesn’t want to go back there. If he can get two pieces back for Rondo, I think he’ll do it. Atlanta, Portland and Indiana are interesting destinations if they are willing to pay.

it was initially traded to Houston, adn then Houston sent it to Minnesota.
lotto protected 2013-16, then a 2nd rounder.

John Hollinger of ESPN.com writes in a chat...The Blazers will move pretty much anybody except Aldridge and Batum, and they might even move Batum if the right Canadian point guard came along. So yes, expect conversations involving Wallace, Felton, Crawford, Camby and Matthews.

Again, if they move Batum for 38 year old Steve Nash I will flip.

agreed. I'd like seeing nash play here. I think it's extremely short sighted and just stupid to make a 1 year push and give up your best future asset for it.

It looks bad, but what if we got Phoenix's protect first rounder? What if we trade Crawford to Minny for Utah's first rounder and Ridnour?

IF we got an unprotected or lightly protected pick from Phoenix, then fine. IF we get Utah's unprotected pick from Minny then fine. However if we trade Batum for Nash then fuck the Blazers. If we trade Crawchuck's sorta expiring for Ridnour's non expiring then fuck the Blazers

Dont get your panties in a bunch. No way we trade a young potential stud like Batum for Nash, even though he is a current All Star. We all know Nash only has 2-3 good years left. Batum has 10+ good years.

totally agree, Batum for Rondo hell yes, for an aged Nash with little else, no fukkin way

Yes, the Blazers have never traded away a young stud for an aging vet.

Come on, get Rondo!

We need to rebuild but if we landed Rajon it would make that process quicker.

Nash is a stopgap PG due to his age.

This is as obvious as the Faried/Smith pick. :hairout:

Utah's pick is lotto protected.

I would go all in with getting Smith.

Why? He's an undersized PF who can't play SF or C.

By making that move you either piss him off even more by bringing him off the bench (on his hefty salary) or you play LaMarcus out of position at Center.

We need help at PG. Desperately.

"@kmccuen2121: @mikerice6 mike I thought there was a trade happening? TWOLVES?"give it time. Still have 7 days..

They should go Batum/Felton/Pick for Rondo.

Then G. Wallace/Matthews/change for Josh Smith.

PG - Rondo
SG- Crawford/Williams
SF - Josh Smith
PF - LA
C - Who gives a fuck

Yeah you're probably right, but I really think LMA can play center and would do well there.

Aldridge DOES play a lot of C. Camby is just a beard to make it look like Aldridge isn't our C, but Camby doesn't play that many minutes.

Hey, the 90s Knicks started Charles "miss 3 layups in a row" Smith at SF after he'd been starting at C for the Clippers, so why couldn't we start a lineup of Camby/Joel, Aldridge, Josh Smith, Batum and PG? That would be MASSIVE.

IMO it's just a lot smarter to go after a PG. It'd be a relief to actually have a capable PG for the first time since Porter.

I also like Williams as the future SG with Batum at SF -- of course, that's if Nic is not moved for a PG.

This
+1

I think more than anything, we need a PG. Too many years our team has been without one. It was a little different when we had Roy, because Roy would be the playmaker. Now that we don't have him, we need to find a guard that can run our offense, hit the outside jumper and get Aldridge the damn ball!

League source: Reported Blazers / Pacers talks for Jamal Crawford are "legitimate." Portland asking for 2012 first & A.J. Price

Pacers balking at including pick. "The first team to give Portland a first round pick for Crawford will have him," source said.
...

Both those make sense

Price is not our PGOTF by the way. He does not have the tools.

It also speaks volumes about someone's confidence in Nolan Smith
