Augustin is not a great setup guy either. I like him more than felton, but the talent level of both is similar

It will be fine because I see something coming after this deal. Obviously Felton will be traded, but until we get a PG we can't right now. I do believe this will set up other deals.

a great setup guy? Do we even have a great setup guy now? shit, anything is better than what we currently are dealing with. e.g camby's phantom alley-oop "setup"? lol

People bitch about felton now, if we got augustin it would be no different

And the plot thickens!

RT @AlexKennedyNBA: League source believes a Jamal Crawford trade is coming. Nothing is imminent, but may end up being first domino

Probably means the Blazers have at least one offer that they consider "takeable", just waiting to see if a better one comes in, if not, they've got that backup...

Hopefully they got Minny to step up and offer Wesley Johnson and a 1st

Would you guys take DJ over Bledsoe?

I think Bledsoe has a much higher ceiling, but I'm not super optimistic about him ever hitting it.

... Honestly, I don't know which guy I would prefer ... Bledsoe I guess? -- With the logic of the team needing to gamble on a guy or two turning into something special instead of puttering away in mediocrity -- but really I could easily be talked out of him and I can see some usefulness to getting Augustin because of his Texas connection with Aldridge and the fact that he's at least a decent point guard who understands how to set guys up.

Augustin and LMA didn't go to Texas together.

True, but players from schools like UT usually hook up for pickup games and have a special bond. I think that is what was meant.

Exactly.

It was kind of weird. I won some promotional draft party thingy vitamin water did for that draft at Grand Central Bowl and Aldridge was the guest host for the event. I was within earshot of him when he was talking to somebody about Augustin and LMA really wanted the Blazers to draft him, he was definitely bummed when Charlotte got him two spots ahead of the Bayless pick/trade.

Latest Blazersedge update per Chris Haynes has Minny redoubling efforets for Crawford with Rubio injury, problem is what POR wants from Minny, maybe a 3-way?

Jennings available

Bogut isn't the Bucks' only core player who could be on his way out of town.
Sources said Milwaukee has made third-year point guard Brandon Jennings available "for the right price," as one executive who has spoken to the Bucks put it. Jennings, who was drafted 10th overall in 2009 and has been considered the team's future franchise player, irked Bucks officials with his comments to ESPN.com in early February about a possible departure.
"I'm going to keep my options open, knowing that the time is coming up,'' he wrote in an e-mail to the Web site. "I'm doing my homework on big-market teams."
The comments made little sense considering the Bucks have most of the control over Jennings' future. Even if he declined an extension offer this summer, Jennings would be a restricted free agent in the summer of 2013 so long as Milwaukee issued the qualifying offer. Jennings could be an unrestricted free agent in 2014 if he signed the qualifying offer.

I don't know much about this kid, but I looked him up. 18.7 PPG, 40% FG (why do PGs shoot so fucking poorly?), 33% from three, 5.6 APG, 1.5 steals and 2.2 TO. Since I can only look "on paper", nothing about this kid jumps out at me.

Kevin Love.

Actually, how about they take Felton (Yes, dreaming I know)? We'll take a flier on Beasley. Then we still have Crawford to deal for something a little bit better. Beasley will take Wallace's minutes if/when he is dealt.

The league figured him out and he stopped being amazing.

bucks presumably just shopping jennings (and bogut) hoping to move bad contracts.

Somewhere, a guy name Lin is asking, "Does that really happen?"

The answer: Yes. Gotta love the hype these guys get. Everyone eventually jumps off the bandwagon as quickly as they got on. Of course, I do believe in Lin's case that Melo hinders his performance.

I dunno what the league figured out, or how he "stopped being amazing", but he has increased his PER each year in the league. Increased his TS%, eFG%, increased his WS per 48, and decreased his TO percentage. Seems like he is slowly making himself better in a lot of advanced statistics.

Chris Haynes is garbage:

ChrisBHaynes: Couple of wks ago, if you asked me who'd be gone first, would have said Raymond Felton. After what I'm hearing now, I say Jamal Crawford. [via Twitter].

Really Chris? Because, a deal takes two to tango (or more). Nobody wants Felton (except for his expiring cap space). Crawford is better, and is likely to create cap space as well.

He definitely isn't dropping 50 point games though, and that's what I meant.

Mike Tokito doesn't think any major moves will happen. Said the Luke deal would have been good, but died when Rubio went out. I guess he said they are in search of a back-up PG.

BACK UP?!?!?! Fuck having Felton our starter! I'm gonna shit!
