seems like that came first from berg, who got it from unnamed executives.

And yes, blergh.

I would love for someone to link Steve blakes dunk, haha

NO, LOOK AT THIS IT WILL CHANGE YOUR MIND:

EDIT: oh wait, look at all those fucking turnovers. :MARIS61:

Turnovers with young players shouldn't bother you or anyone else (Hollinger has done a lot of statistical analysis on this) The questions you want to ask are if a player is productive when they are in there, or are they overwhelmed? Are they physically able to hang with guys and do they improve with time or get worse with time?

To me I'm more curious about his field goal percentage and his assist and steal rates rather than his A/T ratio.

Meh; Call me crazy, but I'd rather have Blake. At least he wont shoot the ball backwards 3 feet from the rim.

You would rather have Blake and his 4 million per year for the next two years?

If that is all we can get for dumping failton, then yes..... Felton freaking sucks. Might as well get someone that can actually shoot towards the rim and keep the ball secure, than the opposite.... that is if this is the only option we can get....

No, if that is all we can get for Felton, we bite the bullet and let his contract expire.

Blake = net negative.

+1.

There is no advantage to get Blake back here. He's doing terrible in LA and that's fine with me.

At this point Blake sucks as much or more than Felton. Watch him sometime, he's two steps from the glue factory.

^ hahha that is awesome ok ok, fine; I just want Felton gone....he's terrible.

Glue factory = best analogy on Blake.

Bledsoe = decent return if we can get a pick; even taking on gome.

what does this even mean? I mean me being an idiot and all. Me don't get it.

So Foye/Willliams interchange as a backup PG, so that makes Bledsoe the 3rd string, not the 4th string PG? good point. :MARIS61:

Are you trying to make a joke? Or are you really that dense? Do I even care?

Having watched Bledsoe quite a bit, he has a ton of talent and natural ability. But, I don't think he's ever been coached on how to actually run the PG position.
Then keep Nate McMillan the hell away from him.

is this really the best they/we can do? fuck, its worse than i thought.
how does any of this shit make it through the vetting process? read out the 'past players hitlist' everyone nods and accepts mediocrity? feels like it...

Scouting Augustin vs. NO right now.

He doesn't look that bad. Making the right reads. Has a good control for the game. I've seen him make better passes to guys after breaking down the D in the first 10 mins of this game than I've seen Felton do in the past 4 months.

Its weird because we wanted Augustine and traded up to get bayless. I think that's right, maybe it was Lowry.

A Clipper fan's take on Bledsoe:

The Good
Energy: Bledsoe is a sparkplug. Cliche, but I will use it anyway. He comes in, and all of a sudden, for no reason, the game becomes more intense. This is partly because he always moves at 100 MPH, which can be a bad thing, but there is no doubt that he picks up a teams pace and energy level when he checks in.
Athleticism: The dude can fly, both horizontally and vertically. He soars above people for dunks, skies for rebounds, and beats everyone down court. Basically, imagine Russell Westbrook like athleticism (but dont expect Westbrooks skill).
Rebounding: Bledsoe is a great rebounder for a PG, primarily due to his athleticism, but also because of his long wingspan. When he gets defensive rebounds, he loves pushing the ball and trying to either get fouled or get a layup/dunk. He also gets some offensive boards to keep possessions alive.
Defense: Bledsoe was an alright defender last year, but in the past 5 or so games this year, Bledsoe seems to have turned it up a notch. This is partly because of his energy and athleticism, but he is also a very willing defender, and will stick to his man like glue. Last night, he shut down Monta Ellis in the 4th quarter after he had been scorching all game.

The Bad
Shooting and Scoring: If Bledsoe is not getting baskets in transition, he is probably not scoring. He is not great at finishing at the rim in a halfcourt setting, mainly because he loses the ball most of the time en route to the basket. He also is not a good shooter at all, including from the FT line. You can't just stick him out by the 3 point line and expect him to convert a decent number of chances.
Passing Ability/Court Vision: Bledsoe often gets too focused on his own drives to the rim, especially in halfcourt settings, and is not necessarily a guy who passes a lot anyway. He is decent on the fastbreak though.
Ability to run an offense: Bledsoe can not run an offense, unless you are talking Suns circa 2006 7 seconds or less. He turns the ball over a lot, does not put people in good position to score, and either rushes things too much or hesitates too long. This often ends in a bad shot with 15 seconds left, or shot clock violations.
Handles: All right I suppose. They would probably be better if he ever tried slowing down instead of trying to blaze by everyone.

The UGLY
Turnovers: Bledsoe could be the most turnover prone player I have ever seen in the NBA. He throws passes away, throws them at guys knees, throws passes when they are not looking. He also goes out of control a lot, ending in out of bounds' or charges. Finally, he gets stripped off one of his wild moves at least once every ten minutes. In other words, except lots and lots of turnovers if you get him.

The Bottom Line
Bledsoe is a fairly unique player in the NBA. He is great for around 15 minutes off the bench to energize a team, force some turnovers, and play good defense. What you can not expect from him is much actual PG play. For the Trailblazers, if I am thinking correctly, you guys could use the energy, but not the wild play. He could be great, or he could remain like this for a few years, lose his athleticism, and promptly drop out of the league. Most of his assets are based on his athleticism, so there is also the risk of injuries debilitating his play, though that is true of any player.

So: basically Armon Johnson II.

It seems to me you guys should be dumping Bobcats players, not accumulating them. A change of scenery and Nate's coaching isn't going to turn them into winners.

Because they are short.

Try this. Find a gym with several ballers who are between 6'6" and 6'10" tall. Join a pickup game. Try to shoot.

Isiah Thomas was short and shot extremely well. Damon was actually pretty good early in his career.

Because they were insanely quick and had fantastic handles all combined with excellent shooting ability. This is a very, very, very rare combination.

They were smart enough to know how to get to a spot on the floor where they could get a shot off.

Then you have the Nash / Stockton types who aren't as insanely quick, but are such drop dead shooters and good passers, that picks get them open looks.

A couple of OT rumors, involving the Bulls. I'm curious what you guys think.

Carlos Boozer, Luol Deng, and Omer Asik to Orlando for Dwight Howard. Apparently Howard won't commit to re-signing with the Bulls, so probably no deal. But The Magic would do it.

Same three to Boston for Pierce and Garnett.

Damn, even if he WOULDN'T commit to re-upping there, I'd still do that deal. Start Noah and Dwight together, and nobody will get into the lane on you. Or, you start Gibson alongside Dwight. You remove two big salaries, though, in Deng and Boozer. I know they ar eboth contributing well, but there's the potential for some good cap space in the offseason.

Also, they can S&T Dwight to where he wants to go to get some pieces. And, I think the best part, you can make dwight look like an idiot for leaving an awesome situation, if he were to win, and still walk away, after complaining about wanting a team built to win. I think Bulls should just say yeah, we'll do it.

Asik, he's good, but you have Noah locked up big, so who cares. Jerry won't pay for Boozer, Noah, Gibson and Asik to all be on the team together.

And if they did manage to get Dwight to stay, they could probably get pretty good value for Noah in the offseason if they wanted.
